Re: Track use Mini video camera

Here is a whole bunch of great ,cheap mounts as well I love the possibilities this stuff adds to the driving experience and ownership of this car.
Put a neat library of films together of your hemi so someday in the old folks home you can play them on movie night and still impress the babes.I use that term loosely!LOL.

Ive used the sticky pod its the best by far for outside filming at speeds up to 175 mph, minimal to no vibration at all if using a good cam with capable stabilization.
I was using a Canon xls 2 on a project in the past and had gotten pro vid results. We also used a off the shelf Mini cam on a bumper mount which really saved time so we had great video to edited of both vantage points in one shoot. Now i see mini cams at retail store that use just a Sd card and some actually look good for this application as well(100.00- 200.00 range for a great throw away mini cam and easy interface to the comp via the SD card.Cool stuff !

I suspect soon after I get this car I may do a road trip film as I have done in the past ,maybe pit my vette and 9c1 caprice against the SRT8 write a small loose script and have fun with it,maybe have forum members take video and add it to the project as filler.
I know this if I do the Kowalski route as I'm planning on doing Ill film the entire route or the route down to Key West that would be unreal!
Edit to hell all the clips and forum members could all get a copy if they chose too, with their footage as well being added to the project it may be cool and something to consider in the future.

Jon W you hearing this buddy this would be great gear to take along if you do a road trip as well maybe some time we could hit the salt flats and air these bad dude's out.The head rest cam is great they work like a charm easy application minimal vibration cant go wrong.

Outside you have wind noise inside mounts you get muffled sound its a catch 22 this all depends how simple you want to shoot as well as dubbing sound can be a real hassle.Inside cams pick up the nostril whistle of the driver ,lol. Now that an exaggeration of coarse but with the small cams out there today Sky's the limit.
I used the outside mount solely to capture light change and detail, then we dubbed the audio later.

Yeah they do. I use allot of their products. Best out there for car care in my opinion. They do have allot of other cool stuff too. I was really thinking about picking up that camera for some relatively cheap action footage.

Re: Track use Mini video camera

Well, I guess I am the guinea pig. I bought the camera from Griots Garage. It is the exact same camera as the first one posted by NOTSURE. First off I knew it was small but damn it really is tiny. I can't believe the quality of the box it came in. It is like it's own little display case. Here are some pics and vids will be next.
