My guess is just to save cost. The R/T Classic pack is a value-added pack so it makes sense that they would add them because it justifies a higher cost. Reducing cost on the R/T is a bit more important to make it a better value against the rest of the muscle cars in this price range.

I'm sure the 6.4 produces a considerably higher amount of heat than the 5.7, so it makes sense to have them fully functional there.

OK, I was thinking in terms of usefulness (i.e. the need - or not - to reduce heat in the 5.7L engine). I guess it's simply a value item & not truly necessary on an R/T. Thanks!

Hopefully we'll get a great thread going of Tungsten Challengers to see the creative ways owners have personalized them.

The Challenger don't have heat extractors....always thought the hood scoops were for cool air.

Ok, thanks PDX.

But that Tungsten Classic looks sweet! The new classic rim matches perfectly.

Hey pdx, I love the way those Boss 338 look. I got an 11 Tungsten RT too, needs to be washed before I post a pic, but I am considering those wheels too. I looked at black and chrome , but those look awesome.

2011 SE. Fog lights have been added, as has a spoiler.... I could not be happier with Tungsten. Truly great color. Now I need to get some ST coilovers and get rid of those huge wheel well gaps...
