Re: Want A No Hassle Deal On A 09 Challenger

Now your talking make the beast your own and just the way you like it.I do wish they had more decals slated for the srt who knows maybe down the line they'll pump those out for us to look at.
Congrats brother!
Now you can sleep well knowing your in damn good hands Bob is top shelf people.

Ive thought long and hard on modding the engine right from the get go however I'm opting to go with the engine mods later on down the line I want to feel what the car is like untouched before I plow 5k into the motor.
I'll ship it back to Bob in the late winter or next spring for the surgeries...I did'nt know the headers where for the 6 speed,or are you doing the automatic?

Bob is the Go too guy isn't he,and he's about the most pumped owner Ive talked to yet concerning this cool arse ride. The guys a blessing to have has the overseer of the ride Ive been waiting for for more than 30 years now.
That was very smart contacting him asap his list is growing daily and that order date is right around the corner I can almost smell the steel smelting.
Personally my dream has been always to have my car delivered to my home via a transport truck pulling into my driveway It cant get any better than that for a car guy!
Either way if I pick it up Id like to meet the guy and hand him a bottle of vintage single malt scotch or send it because he deserves it for all his patients and hard work making this car happen for us all.
Lets all try to get to the mopar Nationals next year!
Convoy style!

My options ordered:
my gig
performance/tires
sunroof
door sills
shock tower brace
custom matts
performance/gages
two tone seats leather

Later on:
Ram air system
Cam
CnC heads
Ported intake manifold

No key needed its a fob key-less ignition (push button). If you go with the automatic you can get remote start as well.

Re: Want A No Hassle Deal On A 09 Challenger

There is one good thing about getting an 09, there's gonna be no wait for your mods! I really wish I could get all that stuff on delivery, but I'll at least have my car.

I'm going with the same set up, but no sun roof. Just breaks the car up to much for me. I'm so stoked to get the Kicker system! I've always wanted a car with a stereo, but Just never got around to it. The mustang has a nice one, but it's not great. Still debating the seats, I just don't know if I should be changing that much on it since I'll probably break down and get a six spd in late 09.

Re: Want A No Hassle Deal On A 09 Challenger

If you want the best price and the best service on any SRT, you talk to Don Conrad at Champion Jeep in Barrington, Il. Don's number is (866)279-2908, and no one sells more SRT's. He will deliver, drop ship, or, you can pick it up. Read about Don on the Jeep and Charger forums. He has been letting them go for $500 under invoice. ...for well over 1 1/2 years. He has sold them all over the country. If you want to lose money, then do not call the guy!

No offense, but you probably won't choose to get good service from a dealer in Il. if you live in Wichita, Ks.

Why not? Any dealer has to work on your car regardless of your location. No offense taken!

According to Bob Fredericks, 09 Challenger orders can open up as early as Monday May 5th.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. The sooner the better.

You mentioned "best service". Maybe so if you're local, but anywhere else, your above comment has to be employed, which always leaves me nervous. My last 7 vehicles have been purchased out of state, and I always feel a little wierd going to a local for service.

By the way, about how many SRTs does he sell per year?

Re: Want A No Hassle Deal On A 09 Challenger

After numeruos phone calls from this forum I figured I would check it out.

I sold about 90 Jeep SRT8's last year, and about 30 combined Dodge and Chryslers.
