What does SRT stand for??

Don't make fun of me cause I've asked several Dodge and Chrysler people and I got a different answer from each of them.

Does anybody really really know what it means? "Special Racing Technology" was the answer from the dealer.

Thank You,
Dean

Re: What does SRT stand for??

While checking out the great prices at Mopar Supercenter - Not Your Average Discount Mopar Performance Direct Connection Parts Store!, I discovered an interesting article regarding the history of the SRT division. Did you know that it was originally called "PVO"-Performance Vehicle Operations? Anyone buying an SRT Challenger should read this.

Re: What does SRT stand for??

Anytime you see the SRT badge on any Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep model, rest assured the best engineers (Team SRT) have massaged that car for maximum performance while maintaining supreme dependability. That includes the brakes, suspension AND engine.
Typically, the SRT trim on any model includes a "premium" package of standard equipment that may not even be optional on lower trim levels. You're starting with the best Dodge offers for a model.
