Re: What are you changing.

Definitely going to run the widest tires you can possibly fit under those wheel wells, along with old school rallye wheels.

Re: What are you changing.

1) American Racing Torque Thrust 20's for the front, 22's for the rear (285/30/22 rears)

2) STS turbo kit (when it comes out)

3) limo tint (on a black challenger)

Re: What are you changing.

I am only planning minor "dress-up" mods:

1. Challenger sills plates
2. Trunk carpet liner.
3. AirRaid panel air filter.
4. Car cover.
5. Custom license plate frame.
6. Racing pedals.
7. T-shifter (possibly).
8. Billet oil catch can.
9. Billet hood emblem replacement (for ugly Rams head).

Also, for security:

1. Revelco Anti-theft device.
2. Locking gas cap.
3. Locking wheel lugs.

In addition, I have purchased, on E-Bay, five Challenger SRT shirts.

Re: What are you changing.

I'll be changing a few things but the first thing I want to grt rid of is the 1st to 4th shift skip feature. My 2000 Camaro SS had this feature and I hated it. Fortunately there was an easy plug-in fix so I hope there will be a fix for the Challenger. If anyone knows of a by-pass for this feature please let me know.

Re: What are you changing.

THERMOSTAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already changed the shifter. My other parts have not showed up and I ordered them on the 14th. Starting to get a bit upset. Driving a heatsoaked untuned srt sucks when you know what a cooler running CMR tuned srt runs like.

Re: What are you changing.

BT underhood dressup w/ catch can (in mirror blue) (ordered and waiting)
BT Fuse Box Cover (in mirror blue when available, Engraved with LImited Edition Challenger - 5629 of 6400)
Mopar CAI (ordered and waiting)
Predator chip (already in)
STS Turbo. (when its ready.)
Rockblocker! (Friday)

I have AR Torque thrust M's in black, havent decided if I want to put them on yet or not tho.

I should also add Im fibreglassing the "spare tire" well and putting 2 12's in there..with 1000w amp. That kicker 10 is garbage, and I can not believe there isnt a subwoofer control thru the deck. The stereo will be in this weekend, Ill post pics in the proper forum when its done.

Re: What are you changing.

My '09 SRT8 will be be getting some stuff done to it before I even take delivery on it via my dealer.

Before I even see my own car, it'll have:
  • Mopar CAI
  • Floor Mats
  • Door Sills
  • 2-row Katzkin Premium Seats (Orange)
  • 30% tint all around minus the windshield

That's all that's guaranteed right out of the gate. Come next month when the brunt of the winter tires get listed on sites like discounttiredirect.com I'll be picking up some cheap wheels and good winter tires (probably blizzaks) for when winter rolls around.

Still 50/50 on if I will buy a predator the second they release a version that is confirmed usable on the 6-speeds. If I do get it, I'll get a 180 Tstat too. The only reason I wouldn't get one ASAP is because it may be too snowy/cold already to where any boost in performance would be useless thanks to Michigan winters. It may be held off for spring.
