Re: Whats a fair price for an option list like this?

Well, I voted <$2000 .considering for one ;the functional hood scoop as I'm not technical meaning as originally the scoop brought air into the carbs, but now with EFI /MPEFI is the air induction tech the same ? Ok, ,Also the pistol gripper appears it'll be " Standard " . Breakdown ~~Scoophood -oh 4-500 ..$89-Locking gas cap. 250 for the tiny spoiler..side exhaustspipes and the reworking of that part ..oh say $ 500 [ max right ? ] ..ahhhmmm ok a pair of stainless or even Titanium hood pins --shoot ok $50 each = $1439 { and maybe throw in $4-500 for Doc Z as a gratuity..way of saying thanks to him /DCX/The Dodge Boys for making this Great new Dodge Challenger // T/A into a reality ! !!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm, the scoop hood would be more than that simply because of the limited quantity. For instance, a regular Neon hood is about $350 from the factory. An SRT-4 hood (different design, some different functionality) is about $962 from the factory. (I know this firsthand ).

So, while a Shaker hood may not be functionally greater than the regular factory set up, all the parts to make it work are going to run much closer to $1k I would think - for the limited production different hood, plus whatever would be required for the actual shaker part.

I'm also thinking the exhaust may run a little more than that.

So I voted the next step up. However, I would like to throw in my two cents here: If they're going to do a TA package (which I think is likely, following the format of the Daytona package on the Charger), I'd also like to see some sort of bump in hp (a little bit of tweaking - much like the extra 10hp on the Daytona - not an SRT, but more than an R/T). And I'd also like to see a little more performance oriented suspension set up.

I don't know how the R/T suspension will be set, but I'm guessing it will be a little softer ride, geared more toward a nice comfort/handling balance. The TA throwback would definitley be skewing more toward performance, so the suspension should do the same. Likewise, they could open the side pipes up a little bit. Again, I don't know what diameter the R/T exhaust will be, but give us an extra half inch on the side pipes (help with getting those 10 - 25 extra ponies?).

You would also expect to see a different wheel package offered with that. Although, that may not raise the price that much if they're the same size, just different style from an R/T.

That seems to be the likely way to go with the TA package (if there will be one), and in that case, I'd expect the bump to be much closer to $3k - $5k, putting it in the second or third option.

Re: Whats a fair price for an option list like this?

Yes, I agree. I guess I was being conservative [ maybe I am a 'Penny-Pincher' ] ! plus it being a special T/A model ,with at least the 6.4L maybe the Legendary 426 Hemeee [ ]and maybe in limited production :the price would be at least around $5 thou more ; but using the above parameters I'll bump it to $3500 oh yahhh +500 for Doc ZZZZZZ !

You still have to take into account the redesigned hood that would go along with this. I'm guessing there's more to it than simply cutting a hole in the existing one. That makes it a limited production item, as well as adding some R&D costs (which would be going into the whole thing).

Add to that, a limited number of cars produced with this package in general, allowing them to bump the price even more (think Dodge Ram Rumblebee - largely cosmetic package with a hefty price bump. At least, last I checked.)

Re: Whats a fair price for an option list like this?

A snorkel type scoop as the original TA and a rear deck spoiler not a wing. Louver the rear windows, pistol grip and a era looking fuel cap.
