Re: What's the latest w/ B-5 Blue SRT8's ?

latest is they will offer it in the SRT8 late this year novemberish
Rt will get deep water blue I think that image on the broshure of the hood in b5 blue may be for the SRT8 only.

that seems to conflict with other articles I am reading. The most recent Mopar muscle indicated that the R/T Heritage edition will be in B5 Blue. I had also seen the same comment on a Dodge site at one point. I do agree on the 09 pamphlet that only the B5 hood has the split blackout but that doesn't mean SRT only - at least so far. If they do limit the color to the SRT I will be very disappointed. It's my favorite and my 72 Charger Rallye is B5. Was hoping for a matching pair so to speak.

09 colors: Inferno Red, TorRed, Deep Water Blue, Silver, Stone White, Dark Titanium, Black, and 2 limited edition high impact colors: B5 and Hemi Orange according to my pamphlet.

Re: What's the latest w/ B-5 Blue SRT8's ?

That brochure is so old I have my doubts all may have changed drastically since that thing was printed, but isnt it strange its the only hood stripped.
Could be they will run b5 on the RT.
I remember hearing about the RT heritage model also in a write up.
I only heard about the SRT8 version, lets hope so huh..

Here is what I heard b5 blue on the SRT8 late Novemberish.
I cant imagine they would run two blues for the RT unless it was a special edition that would make perfect sense.

I have to admit the B5 blue on the older Chargers looked so darn classy with a white bumble bee stripe I remember this now you speak of the older cars in b5.

Wasnt there like a copper color as well on the older Chargers?

My 71 GTX is autumn bronze metallic. It turns a little blue like a penny when left out in the sun too long.

Re: What's the latest w/ B-5 Blue SRT8's ?

I was looking on the Chrysler Canada Web-site and they list a colour called "Deep Water Blue Pearlcoat". It is available on everything but the SRT models. Is this B5 Blue? It sure looks like in the colour picture on the computer. That would be my choice on an RT anyway.

No, B5 is a bright metallic blue. You can find it on some of the limited SRT Charger Super Bee's currently running around. The blue you see on the SE is Deep Water Blue and is much darker than B5. It reminmds me of the old B7 - Jamaica Blue Mettallic I had on a 70 RR.

Again, the write up in Mopar Muscle was very specific about the 09 R/T Heritage Edition in B5. Nothing said about SRT's. No idea where they get their info from but I hope it is true.

Re: What's the latest w/ B-5 Blue SRT8's ?

I was told by Bob Fredericks this week b5 blue will be run in the SRT8 at the end of this year this will be great for those who waited I just hope they can get one!
Most Mags and articles go out of date fast on their info as things seem to change daily with this vehicle.
Gotta love the b5 blue!
