who said it will be retired? for the RT? Cause I heard it was only gonna be limited on the SRT for 09. I'm planning on an RT and I wont buy the car if I cant have it in orange. Call that childish or whatever, but the color is VERY important to me.

I agree. Right now all Challengers (SRTs) seem orange, but if the volume of SEs sold to R/T and SRT is the same as 300s to 300c's, the orange is going to represent the faster few very soon!

The first two pictures are the first time I spotted it, the second two are at some apartments about half a mile from the first spotting, about a week after.

I've also spotted a bunch of test/fleet Challengers, R/T's, SRT's, and the SE V6's, if you guys wants pics just let me know .
That could be a Chrysler Service Training Vehicle. The training centers get pilot vehicles so they can do some training on the new stuff before production starts. Maybe some states don't issue manufacturers plates and the car is licenced with a regular plate even though it is a Chrysler vehicle. I worked in service training in Ontario Canada before I retired and we had 15 vehicles at my trainng center, all licenced with regular plates and when they were not being used for training, we drove them whenever we wanted.

Well I've seen plenty of cars up here with Manufacturers plates and I've seen the guy around town running errands, most of the time it's just parked so I doubt he's testing it in any way, I could be wrong of course. I'm getting a Saleen Mustang anyways, Challengers are gonna be way to played out for me.
