Question White Lettered Tires

How many of you think that the Challenger would look best wearing "old school" white-lettered tires?

I know that Dunlop, Goodyear, and Cooper make them.

For example see:

Of course -- it's supposed to be a retro muscle car.

Re: White Lettered Tires

I agree with the idea of white letter tires adding the the retro theme of the Challenger, but the letters would have to be pretty small to look good on the very low profile tires. Maybe if Goodyear could do a low profile tire with lettering about the size of the old Polyglass GT that was on the '70 Challenger it would look about the right size in relation to the size of the car.

I think that yellow-lettered tires would only look good on certain car colors.

What color Challenger do you prefer?

Re: White Lettered Tires

Never liked white letters tires. However I do like the look of the Polyglass GT's on a nicely restored E-boby with some 15" ralleys, just not enough to put them on mine. The GT's always looked good to me because they have such a nice squared off sidewall with that flat footprint. However any muscle car that I have ever owned ended up wearing some after market wheels and tires. They just complete the look better by filling out the wheelwells. So none for me!

Here are two of mine. I have some eleven inchers for the back. I have not installed them yet. They are a deep custom offset so I have to narrow the rear ends four inches on each. I like that nice deep inset look. BTW both of those cars are wearing thier original paint.
