Who is gathering a "portfolio" of documentation/etc for their Challenger?

I've recently been gathering up everything I can and saving everything I can regarding my Challenger order ('09 SRT8). This includes the mailings from the dealer with my deposit slips, order info sheet, etc. I also have one of the '09 pamphlets from way back in March and will be getting one of the latest '09 large brochures that just came out. I have the Dodge Challenger Concept 1/18th scale model, etc. Once I get my car the window sticker and other items will join the collection. Basically, I'm gathering everything I can and will have a little "portfolio" of stuff related to the car that I will keep along side the vehicle for nostalgic purposes.

Is anyone else doing this with their Challenger or planning on doing this with your Challenger? If so, what things are you saving? I'm curious to see if I've forgotten anything cool that I might want to add to the collection that will be cool to look at and revisit in 10+ years when I hopefully still have the Challenger.

make sure you ask for all the paperwork that gets left in the car . there are many build and shipping sheets that are left with the car when it is shipped from the plant .

Re: Who is gathering a "portfolio" of documentation/etc for their Challenger?

I agree with JS29ROB.I started this with our 08 back in 06. If we didn't get one it would still be worth something to those who did. Press kits, we have the 08 from Chicago very limited(200made) all paper work (have the one that informs all employees that the vehicle is not to be raced). Make sure to get the transport release sheet(shows any blems that happened and location of them) We have 3 lite surface scatches. They won't hurt anything and can't be seen unless you are told where they are. Got close to 30 pages of deail from the dealer. Its part of it history. We printed off the tracker stages too. For the 09 ,try to get the New York press release kit. Looks like that its very limited. I hate to say it but e-bay is the place to go. It will make it harder to wait but it will take your mind off the wait. Go luck 08 blk challenger.

Re: Who is gathering a "portfolio" of documentation/etc for their Challenger?

Also make a DVD from all the online reviews, U-Tube, Dodge site etc. And the online Mopar videos etc. Man there is so much, but how cool to look back in 5-10-20+ years!

You know the way things are going we will be driving a plastic car with a 17hp Koller lawn mower engine.. well runnning on solar power right...

Re: Who is gathering a "portfolio" of documentation/etc for their Challenger?

Kept the paperwork from my 72 RR, just dumb luck but found it here 7 years ago. Purchase contract and everything that came with it. Paid $4245.00 for a 4-speed ,bucket seat, air grabber car. Just the proof of the purchase contract and first owner is worth a extra $5000.00 today. Are we nuts YES and won't sell.

Provenance is most important to the owner and future owner of this car.
