Will the after-market support the new Challenger?

It seems that the aftermarket has kind of ignored the LX cars (magnum, 300, charger) What can we expect for the LY? I would hope that it would get a similar response to what the mustang has. I'm thinking performance, appearance, audio, accessory, etc.

Re: Will the after-market support the new Challenger?

i hear you,but there are few companys that are getting it done, now we can get a 370 stroker over 400hp RWHP or a 396 unrated hp as of now,but it moves, and high flow heads, the computer for the engine is figure out, but the trans is not,but aleast there is one that is holding up to the hp,future is looking up.rick

Yes, the Challenger is forever doomed to be STOCK.

lol, no, dude, seriously, there's a decent LX mod base, it's just the ECU sucks.

Re: Will the after-market support the new Challenger?

They marketed the LX platform cars (so far) to the higher end, bling bling kind of consumer. A lot of the aftermarket support (in terms of what I've seen on the street) seems to have focused on big ticket appearance items.

Admittedly, they do have the SRT versions of the vehicles, which are clearly performance oriented. And they have some support. But in the end, the 300 and Charger are family sedans. Regardless of what's packed under the hood, it's tougher to get a massive amount of aftermarket support for a family car.

The Challenger is distinctly NOT a family car. Even at it's base level, it's a performance vehicle. The people buy this car are interested in performance. Which means the aftermarket companies will be interested in getting money from those performance enthusiasts.

The support for the Challenger should far exceed what's available now simply based on the nature of the beast.
