Would you settle for a black Challenger if you really wanted an Orange one? I can't find an Orange Challenger anywhere at a reasonable price but I have an opportunity to buy a black one. I really wanted orange but I am also a realist and know I probably won't be able to get the orange and it looks like a long wait for a 2009. Suggestions?

It's all a matter of what makes YOU happy. I wanted a black one, and until yesterday my dealer thought he had an orange one coming. I was still very happy. In my case , however, just yesterday, I found out that it is the black one I'm getting , so , for me perfect. You just have to figure out what's important to you// the year// the color// how soon you get it// differences between 08, 09.Make yourself happy, and make sure you get what you want!! It's too much money; not to wind up happy !!

Black is a sharp color but is very difficult to keep clean.

If you were set on Hemi-orange, look around for an unsold 2008 (if you can find one at MSRP) or get a 2009. It will only be about 6 weeks until the factory starts building them.

...I ordered a black and orange, not really caring which I received....or I would take both if they came in.....turns out, my black one is the one being built.....I am extremely happy

...when the Prowlers came out, the purple had been shown so much, I was tired of it before they hit the showrooms.....kinda the same feeling with the orange Challenger...I'm almost tired of it already

Its a challenger, love it for what it is. Make yourself happy with it before you do anything though, otherwise you will regret it.

If you really want Orange, wait and get the Orange. Orange will stand out, just like the Detonato yallow Superbee. Black is also nice, but it does show swirl marks, dirt, dust, paint problems, etc. Personally, I would wait for the 09...

Some guy edited the launch video and only put the black challenger in it.

I love the Challenger in just about any color, but when you see it in black it looks as if it were almost posessed.

Who knows, this may be the last of the big V-8's.

Wasn't there a movie about some that used that line?
