The cheapest way to increase brightness of the standard
headlights is to replace the lamps with SilverStars.

The number is H13 (9008) ST/2.

They can be found in any auto parts store for around $40.

Installation takes 5 minutes and you don't even need tools.

that is correct... a simple xenon replacement bulb is the cheapest... you will get about 30% more light.

The step up from that is the HID kit... this will get you around 300% more light output. The kit (after the member discount) is $161 and it will probably be the last time you ever have to change bulbs. Average lifespan with HIDs is 8000 hours.
