2013 dart

Looking for your opinion.
We are considering a 2013 Dart.
Trim level SXT with auto transmission (Six-Speed Dual Dry Clutch Automatic Transmission With Auto Stick) and the 1.4 turbo.
Have any of you out there had any experience with this vehicle? This will be for the wife. We are not looking for all the bells and whistles. This we already have. We're just looking for a fun little torque (y) grocery getter to replace our 2002 P.O.S Mazda.
Looking for any pros and cons............and by the way. we have never dealt with turbo.

Thanks,
Dave

Have you driven one yet? I did and was not that impressed. Cool car no doubt and the price is good, but it was pretty gutless. For the wife though, it would be perfect.

You could probably get a nice pre-owned v6 Challenger for the same $.

I have not driven one, but I was behind one tonight that had the "racetrack lighting" on the tail lights, like the Charger led tail lights. Very cool looking, a must have option to me.

I would visit a Dodge Dart forum and get some opinions from actual owners. I'm sure they will tell you to buy it, but at least you will hear it from actual owners. If It were me though I would buy a 2013 Ford Fusion.

I know two people that have them and they love them. I drove a six speed with what I think was the upgraded turbo motor and it was quite peppy.

Did visit a Dart forum. You're right.
I figured I'd get more realistic answers from here at home. Was figuring there are more Mopar freaks like me who already had the same idea, but have been there done that.
Ford Focus??

Thanks.

We got the Rallye trim level ( like the black headlight inserts!)

3000 miles on it so far in two months ownership. GREAT little car!

CONS:
With the very small displacment, you will find there is quite a bit of turbo lag.
(step on the pedal...little to no acceleration, ........then VROOOM!)

The 2.0 liter is a pig! stay with the 1.4liter Turbo!!!!

....ummmmm...I can't think of any more.

PROS:
Upwards of close to 40 MPG!
Plenty of power for the wife's grocery-getter!
*get the race track tail lights!!!*
My 6' 4" frame fits in the back seat!
There's a cool stash spot under the passenger seat! -- shhhhhhh

...I'd bet you will enjoy the car for sure!

...and did I mention get the race track tail lights!

Thanks SXY......I've heard about the turbo lag, but the near 40 MPG is one of the things that we're attracted to.
