Flat black is amazingly hard to take care of. The slightest imperfections really show up and worse is normal weather damage to it. The paint is too exposed to the elements.
I had my reservations at first, but I have to admit it is a different look. Would like to see a Challenger in that color, however, it would have to be kept in a bubble!

I would love to see how flat/matte/satin black fit on this car. If I ever do own a challenger this is what I hope to do, with gloss black stripes, and black wheels
A little hard to make that effect in photoshop. Ill see if i can take a shot at it.
Edit: Just realized, im on no sleep right now from last night and cant even focus on the lines to get the thing cut out to color it. Ill give it a try tomorrow

I don't where you guys are getting your info from but it is dead wrong. I own a black denim Harley (matte finish) and it is not a hard color to take care of.
No waxing - just spray windex on it and wipe off.
Doesn't chip easy.
One caveat - if you wreck it, you repaint it. no matching possible.
saw a flat black Porsche Cayenne In LA, looked amazing. Im getting a flat black hood . Know its tough to keep, but check the pics online of the Camero Black edition, it also has a flat black hood and it looks sick

ohhh i just love flat black. I have read that you can have it done via a plastic foil. That way you can drive flatblack for a while and can switch back anytime you like. Furthermore you are protecting the original paint.
Gonna tell you 1 thing about the matt/flat colors.. You get 1 chip, scratch or any flaw in the paint...Its over!! You CANNOT touch it up.A friend of mine does body work, and thats the worst and hardest paint to deal with.If the paint gets damaged or flawed in any way,you are looking at getting it repainted. So,you might want to consider a different one,or you will certainly pay the price! And it wont be easy to find someone that will do matt/flat colors,so good luck.If you do,$$$$$$$. So if you plan on this flat, just put your car in the garage with a clear case over it.Because out on the road'ITS ALWAYS THE NICE CARS THAT GET DAMAGED''. Good luck. Just by knowledge of paint, thought I would share this.
