So I'm on my way to the store this morning in the Chally with my 12 year old son, cool out, windows down, very routine. Anyway we see we think was an 2008 or even a 2009 Ferrari F430 convertible pulling out in front of us where we were suppose to turn right and my son wanted to see it, he knew everything about it, HP, 1/4 mile stats so we started to follow the guy somewhat and he walked us bad but we were able to, without speeding, get right behind him as he turned left on one of the twistiest roads around here so I knew he was gone but it was cool to see it and listen to the exhaust..anyway he made us do like 10 MPH up the beginning hill then he punched it, lite the tires up into a very tight corner and I'm like whats this guys doing? Well my son and I watched him as he kept the tires spinning, fish tailed to the right and hit the bank then fished tailed back to the left this time going nose first into a tree then going up in the air, flipped and landed upside down. I couldn't believe it, I mean I thought the guy was gone, everything inside the car was thrown 50 feet out the passenger window, so we stopped, I jumped out and ran over to the car and the guy was climbing out with only a scratch on his forehead. We called 911 and I stayed right with the guy till the ambulance came. He didn't have much to say, he was in shock. We stuck around till the end and left a statement with the State Police. I still have the vivid memory of watching it wreck within seconds right in front of us. The guy must not have known what he was doing and he did not let up. Thank god he is OK. The Ferrari was totaled. Here is a quick vid:
Wow - there's a lot of responsibility in the right foot.

It almost looks like the guys laying on the ground behind the cop car. If you watch again it seems like theres some legs stickin out from behind there. He was probably trying to be a bigshot and drift the windys in front of you.

I think so, he never let up and we all know that corner around here....yes that's him on the ground with the legs sticking out...he refused to go to the hospital at first until his wife showed up and talked him into going. They were checking his vitals and strapping him down when we shot the video....the spin marks are black and you can see them start before the corner and all the way till he flipped....it was scary watching the flip as that was the time everything in his car was thrown in the air...thank god it wasn't him. When I stopped I insisted my son stay in the car as I wasn't sure what I was going to see and he did, I mean I was scared, as I walked toward the car he climbed out of like a 7 inch high gap on the passenger side of the car and I had him lie down and he kept saying he was alright and called his wife and we called 911....scary man.......

Yeah it really is scary. I was behind some friends in another car one day a couple years back going around a curve that was enough to slow down, but not really enough to send you flying if you know what im saying. Well the friends in front of us went to switch to the inside lane, and as they did that they started to spin out tail kicking to the outside. This is all happening in a split second, so right after that they do a 360, and then get halfway through another before two wheels come off the ground. As theyre spinning toward a bunch of trees. It all came to a stop, we booked it over to where they were and got outa the car. Turns out nothing at all happened to even the car, the only thing was that the tire got pushed off the rim on the back right. We switched the tire, and then checked out the road. They did about a 270 on two wheels. You could see where they lifted and the tire marks stopped. We thought we were running up to a cloud of smoke filled with a flipped car and 5 dead friends.
Wow. Glad the guy is alright! Hope you and your son are okay as well. That must have been awful to see. I would probably have nightmares about that for weeks.
