If you have a 2015 Challenger where you can remove the center portion of your Daytime Running light and what to use that as an air inlet like the Challenger Hellcat, this is the OEM version! All parts are the same that are found on the 2015 Hellcat!
My apologies if it's already been answered, but I'm assuming the non-silencer tube we may have purchased previously still fits this box? Just making sure I don't need to buy anything else fancy.
I actually saw a post a bit earlier today that went over ambient temp changes. I don't remember the title or I'd link it here for you. A quick search will probably bring it up though. Good stuff!
did you find that the tube fits loosely on the neck and if so what did you do about it-on the video I watched of the install-the tube was very loose fitting-I was just wondering if they all fit like this
The Spectre intake coupler arrived today. Installed perfectly and fills the gap left between the tube and headlight flange. You do need to trim it down about 1/2 way to allow the intake tube to fully engage. Once installed the air box will still pull the tube about 1/4" from the headlight and it won't sit flush. I just placed one of the spectre clamps flush against the headlight and clamped down onto the intake tube. Lovely and tight and sealed.
Ok, so today I went by the dealership and they had received two Hellcats, a white and a red one. I inspected the cars very closely and determined that the tube fits loosely on the hellcat stock. There are no other parts other then the tube and lower air-box that are different then the standard SRT 392.

I don't expect a power increase per say just less chance the car pulls power due to higher intake temps... Plus its cool and makes for a great conversation piece at car shows...
Installed the Hellcat lower intake box and tube this weekend and noticed two details not covered so far.
1) The stock lower box on my SRT 292 had a foam rubber seal around the lower intake port and a small foam pad on the side that is closest to the inner fender well. The foam seal keeps a nice seal and probably keeps it quite. The foam pad is there to keep things from rattling.
2) If you are careful you can remove both and transfer to the new lower intake box and it makes for a nicer OEM install.
Prior to the install my IAT was at its best about 10 degrees above ambient, now with the Hellcat box installed the IAT at rest are the same as before however once rolling they drop faster and drop to within 4-6 degrees above ambient depending on your speed.
