Wow, on the older ones I prefer the silver on the grill, but on the 15' the improvement is HUGE! The side by side pic are very helpful. If I had a 15' this would be a must do.
That's a good price based on what the dealer quoted me. I had a little "incident" with a parking bumper almost a month ago, and while they had my bumper off to repair a broken bracket I inquired about swapping the silver to black grill. They said the part was $180+labor or I could have them shoot it black for about 1/2. I choose the latter option then for economical reasons. If I had known about Speedlogix's price I would have popped on this instead.
Still, love the black grill look! I am going to get the black fuel door here in the next few weeks as well.
Hello there, to install the mopar black grille surround you will need to remove the bumper to get to the tabs. Its not to hard, and it is certainly worth it!
That grille looks awesome and I've been looking to swap my silver grille on my 2015 Challenger for the black one. I was just wondering if you knew how to remove the original grille in order to replace it.

Had this done last night. I installed original Mopar glossy black grille surrounds. The guy who did it used the risky method of removing them using a flat top screw driver and a piece of flat plastic. All safe, done with only one clip broken off both the old chrome surrounds. I know it was risky, but i just couldn't insist on removing the whole bumper assembly (as is the proper way). Guy does this for a livin', their shop specialise in SUVs and sports cars. He told me this is how to do a challenger and he said the key to it is being gentle and patient.
