Re: Artwork - Convertible Chop

a retractable hardtop? that's probably not feasible. Retractable hardtops are often a chief consideration when the platform is developed. The rear clip must be longer than the cabin. Modern cars with retractable hardtops are all 2 seaters. The older cars of the 50s & 60s that had both a retractable hardtop and a back seat had a friggin HUGE trunk. That would totally destroy the proportions of the car. Don't go demanding stuff that's too ambitious. You'll scare those poor designers and bean counters at DCX Take your ragtop with an optional fiberglass hardtop (that takes two people to remove and set in the garage) and be happy.

Re: Artwork - Convertible Chop

that would be cool a removable hard top, like the old t birds. less weight more room. i'd buy it!! was looking at the new t birds with both options, pretty nice.

Re: Artwork - Convertible Chop

The Cuda and the Challenger were two conv. that looked as awesome with the top up as they did with the top down. Very few cars can make that claim.
