I know that nobody was injured in the accident but did you hurt the dude in the GTi? Lol I had someone riding a bicycle collide into my car, crush the fender and the hood and crack the bumper. Then he tried saying I hit him, even though my damage was on the side of my car where as it would have been on the front had I hit him. Oh and yes, he tried to sue. I hope everything gets worked out. Though I would be careful about getting the car back from paint. Paint shop detailers are notorious for being paid next to nothing and having all the tools they need to make sure you can't see the mistakes they made until several weeks later when all their swirl remover etc has been washed away.

Just superficial damage.

A vw can't hurt a Mopar!

He did; over the hood of my car, taking the bike with him! Lol. I've come to terms with it, even gotten a new Challenger since then! I'm glad though that your insurance gave you a vehicle of a similar category at least. I ended up with a PT Cruiser last time I had a rental. They had my Hemi Ram for crying out loud!
