Thought everyone might like to see some pics of Challenger #0001 out of 8400. The one Craig Jackson paid $400K for...

Happened to be at the local Dodge dealer in Scottsdale AZ when it showed up today - May 31st, 2008.

Took these with my cell phone so apologies - a few are not as sharp as I'd like - but still very nice.

Couple other tidbits.. In the car carrier that brought this one, there was another Black Challenger SRT8. Driver said it was headed to Jay Leno.

Anyway - hope Mr. Jackson enjoys that Black car in Arizona. I think it's a 105 today...

Enjoy!

Re: First Production Challenger arrives

I live in SE AZ and it is hot. I rather imagine #0001 will end up in a climate controlled facilty rather quickly. It's sad in a way because I doubt it will ever see much open road. Still, I applaud Mr Jackson for buying the car.

I am so glad that I ordered a Black Chally !!! These photos only confirm it. It is such a shame that this Stud will be put away before it's chance to "Challenge" the roads.....

Re: First Production Challenger arrives

According to a Ground Effects employee, the Craig Jackson and Jay Leno cars were built a few weeks before production actually started, and were sent to Ground Effects with a huge posse of Chrysler personnel following every move. They were then supposedly hand-perfected and sat awaiting shipment with the production cars. My father-in-law works for them, and by the time he found out they were in the shop and called me, Chrysler yanked them out just as fast.
