Re: New Challenger Burnout Video

Is the driver a Chrysler employee. Who gave him permission to do that to a car like this ? Does CEO Robert Nardelli know about this type of repetitive action upon factory provided tires ? Also, is he a professional driver ? I do not know how to execute those manuvers [ except in snow] !!!

It's fairly easy to execute these manouvers with the limited slip differential. This is why I have been pushing for a limited slip option since 2004 on the Magnum, Chargers and 300 LX platforms which all have open axles.

If it was a Charger SRT8 it would not be able to do this unless you add Quafe's limited slip in on your own.

All 08 Challengers have limited slip as do the 09 SRTs and 6spd R/Ts with the TRAK PAK.

If you can do this in the snow then with 420lbs ft of torque (and some courage) you can do this in the dry. The Camaro Z28 with the LT1 could do this in 1995 with the automatic. Mind you even though the Camaro only weighed in at 3500lbs, the 4100lb Challenger gains from the 6.1L as the 5.7L car at 4100lbs may end up being about equal if not a tad better than the performance of the 95 Z28 which had 275hp and 325lbs torque. They also had Posi Traction limited slip via a 7.625 inch 10 bolt rear with optional 3.23:1 ring and pinion.

This is what all cars should be able to do; the Challenger SRT8 is a car, look up the word CAR and you will see a SRT8 Challenger sitting next to it. It's got limited slip, it's got true dual exhaust and it's got a push-rod ram-rod overhead valve V8 under the beak!
