Re: Houston Area

I am completly interested in a cross country cruise. Considering I graduated from east carolina, I would love to cruise out and show some good ol' boys from NC, how us texans do things.

We have driven in a "convoy" of up to 25 Prowlers down to Galveston. It's fun in late winter or early spring - not as much traffic. Sound interesting?

I'll be taking delivery of my 6 speed Hemi Orange SRT8 on December 15th. I drove my neighbor's new black 6 speed SRT8 last night. OMG Can't wait for mine....

Re: Houston Area

we are so fortunate to have quite a few options to hang out with other owners and learn. every time i get together with the club i learn something new. it's all about owners sharing with other owners.

for those of you who have not been able to attend a sclx meet, don't let that stop you from asking us questions. just like on this forum, we have many knowledgeable members and we are just a phone call or email away.

Re: Houston Area

Here in Richmond/Sugar Land. I was a member of the Houston Mopar Connection Club from 1992-2002. Great bunch of guys; real down to earth. Used to show my '69 Road Runner and 2000 Viper GTS at the shows and they appreciated them both without reservation. I miss the annual club show at Houston Raceway Park though! I took first place in the truck division there with an old 1996 Ram I had at the time, 2nd place twice for B-Bodies with the Road Runner, and first place once for race cars with the Viper. I also had the pleasure of winning the Viper/Vette shootout against a much faster Vette who decided to hit the nitrous button off the line and leave his rear end on the starting line. Probably time to get the old membership renewed and come back to the fold.

Sinister68, was that you I parked next to with my Orange SRT8 this past Saturday at Otto's? That was a really well attended night. Lots of burnouts going on too that I was surprised they were getting away with! )

Re: Houston Area

No that was me. Great looking Hemi Orange SRT8, and you got it for a great price. It was nice to meet you and Sinister68, I look forward to seeing you guys again in the future. As I understand it the event goes on the first Saturday of each month, but I heard someone say that guys show up there pretty much each Sat night.

I wish I could have seen that!

I'm hoping to maybe minimize the gap between the old Mopar owners and the new Mopar owners. Many of the HMCC club members own both old and new Mopars (myself included). Feel free to come to any of the HMCC monthly meetings and/or get-togethers!

Re: Houston Area

Anyone have a black one and work near the Omni hotel? Saw a sweet black one pulling out of the building next door to me.
