For those who have Goodyear F1 Super Car Tires, how much distance have you gotten?
I am wondering how long until I can replace them without explicitly throwing them out. They have only been spun once (briefly) and I want to see how long I can expect them to hold out. I have 22500 KM (about 12000 miles) on them thus far and have have what looks to be lots of thread left.

I don't know what you guys are smoking other than maybe the tires. My F1s have 11k miles and are 9/32nd tread life on all fours. I do hard driving most of the time, all city miles. I've done maybe 3-4 burnouts.
Are these the F1s? 245/45ZR20? Im a nub when it comes to this stuff Just had all 4 replaced 2 weeks ago. Lasted 28k miles and had 1/32 left on tread depth. If these aren't the Goodyears you're talkin about, my bad.
Most of the miles were from driving to and from work when I was stationed in Hawaii. It was pretty much just 1 straight stretch of road with not a lot of places to have "fun". Then a trip from LA to Wisconsin and then from Wisconsin to Central Ontario and back. Too many highway miles on that set. I don't think these new ones will last anywhere near that long Thankfully my bro works at a large auto chain dealer and can get me his employee discount and buy 3 get 1 free. Only cost me about $1300 for the new set including the mount and balance. I think another reason the last set lasted so long is because I had tire rotations done 4 or 5 times during that time. All 4 wore pretty evenly.
Did more burnouts than I can remember til I saw how expensive these were, lotsa powershifts, rotated every 5-7000 miles and I am at 26,000 with maybe a 1000 miles of thread left. Not crazy about the F1's, gonna switch out and go wider. Love the "Defective" tire comments !
Got about 10,000 on mine and the dealer reckoned they were down to 5/32" tire tread left - I personally feel that it has rather more than that, the amount of tread in the middle looks pretty good to me.
That said, the shoulder of my front left tire is now completely bald, mainly due to taking the 270 degree off ramp near work at a rather spirited pace (it's now on the back, but I wasn't checking it/rotating frequently enough).
I've got 26,000 miles on the F1s but those are all highway miles. I recently noticed wear on the outer shoulders after a sprited run of 20 miles through the Ozarks following two motorcycles.
I definitely need to rotate.
The mechanics at the SRT Track Experience said they have to replace the F1s every 1 to 3 sessions. The frequency depends on how rough the track surface is. So hard cornering does take a toll on these tires.
Mine will get changed before next winter. Currently have 8k on them and they look new. I lucked out with a very mild winter this year so I left them on. I will replae them with an ultra performance all season when the time comes.
2006 300C SRT8 here i got 28,000 km (17,400 miles) front set, 36,000 km (22,400 miles) rear set. next set of RSA 90,000 km (56,000 miles) I generally get about 41 to 51k km per set of tires. I now have 280k km on it, 175,000 miles. Drive it every day and have for 75 months.
i only got 17,000 miles out of mine. Then again, i expect my motivos to go out at about 30k miles and they have a 60k mile warranty. I blame a good portion of the extra treadwear life on the AZ heat and pavement
I've been through 4 sets of these now. My first set was entirely freeway driving without much of any hard driving. Lasted about 28k miles the next 3 sets were almost entirely short 2 mile drives to and from school/work and ALWAYS spirited driving with an occasional burnout. Each of the last 3 sets lasted between 8k-9k miles. To the guy that said he's put 11k miles of hard driving and still has 9/32 tread left, are you sure you're using Goodyear EagleF1 Supercar tires? I'm pretty sure they start out new at either 9/32 or 10/32.
im at 24K with wear on the tires. I do need new ones now, however they are still safe... This is also with a few runs at the track. I rotate my tires every 4K
Old thread but my F1's lasted 18K, they were so soft I could turn a corner and see rubber left on the pavement!!! I have Motivo's now, so far so good but I don't think they are going to make the 60K warranty!!!
Those GY F1's were seriously the worst tire I'd ever driven on and down right dangerous in wet conditions. Even with plenty of tread if I drove through a puddle I'd lose traction. I'm on a Nitto Motivo now. I'd suggest for anyone to get out of them if you could into pretty much anything else and not look back
Definitely agree with you on the performance out of dry conditions. The slightest bit of moisture on the road with the Eagle F1's and they lose traction.
I got 32.6K out of my Goodyear Eagles, but I was pretty long overdue. I must've just passed inspection last August and got the new tires in March (Hankook).
