So I swapped out the center caps on my '16 Challenger Scat Pack for the '17 style. Looks much better IMO! Never understood why they put those silly chrome center caps on these rims where there is no chrome on this car...
Those look great. Never understood it myself. My last Challenger was a blacktop with the black rims, still came with chrome lugs. At least the center caps were black.
And here is the part number for these caps if anyone needs it: 6CZ27MALAA
I got mine from Steve White but I've also seen them on eBay. They also have a version for the standard Scat Pack wheels that are a brushed aluminum with gray hash marks.
I'm a little worried they wont match my 2015 wheels exactly, but I bet it will be close. In 2015 they made the wheels a flat black, 2016-'17 is more charcoal. A subtle difference but there is one...
Uh-oh, I should have prefaced my post with that fact.
The 2015 Hyper Black wheels were black. The 2016+ Hyper Black II's are not black. They are a dark metallic gray (like charcoal). The caps match the dark gray on the 2016+ rims. So they won't be a direct match to your '15 rims. Sorry for any confusion.
That I do not know. If they are the same color as the Scat Pack 2016 Hyper Black II rims, then yes.
Actually now that I look at pictures of the SRT Hyper Black I'm thinking they are not the same color. My rims are definitely a matte finish and the SRTs look glossy?
I'm planning to make the same swap on my '15 RT that has the black WRT wheels but the chrome center caps. I bought the '17 style caps (with Dodge hash marks) on eBay from Steve White Motors. They are a matte black that perfectly matches the black WRT wheels. One question to anyone here that has swapped center caps... Did you do it without taking off the wheels, and if so, how? I really don't want to take off the wheels to do it. I posted in the Wheels forum about using the tape method in the video below, but a couple of naysayers didn't think it would work. I'm still going to try it unless someone has a better way. I found a poster in the LX forums who said it did work on his Jeep SRT wheels. Here's the video...
I saw the Velcro tape method of removing the caps on YouTube but did not try it. I can tell you that these caps are a pretty tight fit.
I chose to remove the wheels instead. I wanted to do this so I could also clean and coat the inside of the rims, which I did. So I bought a couple items to help with this: a jacking pad and a 22mm non-marring socket (see pictures). Got them off amazon and paid about what the center caps cost for both items. I figure these are things I would definitely use again so they were worth the small investment and they worked perfectly.
By the way, using my neighbor's fairly low profile floor jack, I still had to drive up on a 2x6 in order to get the jack and pad under the car to lift it.
I like a little bit of chrome. You get an all black wheel, black center cap, black lugs, and it all just blends together. The chrome adds a bit of contrast and i like that. Those caps are sharp though.
Have others of you tried the velcro method to replace the centers? (if so, did it work as easily as in the video?) ... or did you take your rims off? Or another method?
I would like to know this too. If no other Challenger owners have tried the tape idea in the video, I may be the first, if the rain ever stops here in Tennessee.
I just checked AMAZON and they are not in stock at this time. Sorry! Check them out on YouTube (2016 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, RT Wheels)

Love the look of the center caps for the 2016 SP wheels! Just ordered a set for my 2016 SP with the same set up. Thanks for the thread and part number, OP!

I really never had a problem with the looks of the chrome center caps, as I remembered the "Ram Head" caps back in '10. Those were just hideous!
That said, before I took delivery of my '16 Scat Pack, I had the dealer install the Mopar 10 caps on mine. They probably wouldn't look good with every body color, but to me, looked just right with the B5.
Thanks. I don't know if it was harder waiting for the car to be built and delivered, or "writing the check" for those caps. They are pricy, but in my mind, looked so good with the B5!
I don't know why it's so hard to find some decent matte black center caps for the 2015's with our matte black rims, not the hyper black.
I love those new center caps, but I think it would look off on my matte black '15 rims.
It's a shame decent flat matte black center caps are near impossible to find for my rims.
I even tried using that spray wrap stuff to paint my ugly chrome stock center caps and they all peeled off after one wash. I put like ten coats on those things too.
Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to ask a separate question as well regarding these center caps.
What is the difference between manufacturer part number: 6CZ27MALAA and manufacturer part number: 6CZ27RXFAA?
Speedlogix claims that 6CZ27MALAA is a flat matte black center cap color, but according to this thread, its a glossier lighter black that matches the newer hyper black color rims.
But if I look for these center caps anywhere else on like ebay, they all show 6CZ27RXFAA as the part number, which, depending on the seller, looks like the black I'm looking for, but then also looks like the lighter hyper black semi gloss i DONT want.
And Mopar lists both on their website, but with no picture or decription other than center caps.
The caps arrived in 2 days from Larry Miller Dodge in AZ for under $35. PLEASE let me know if the Velcro method for removing the existing chrome center caps (see video posted earlier in this thread) works on the Scat Pack.
I don't think there was a OEM hyper black center cap ever made for the 2015 color, so your only going to get the Hyper black II set regardless of what it looks like in pics if it's a factory part. I'll be checking in though to see if there is one...
