Raised White Letter tire paint.

Found this site...

Mercedes-Benz Pontons (1953-1962) / White Wall Tire Paint © www.mbzponton.org

Has anyone tried this yet?

Good find. I've tried the Duplicolor pens to get a RWL effect on another car and wasn't real happy with it. It flaked off pretty quickly, and the parts that stuck OK discolored to a grungy yellow after a few weeks. I like that the paint in this never fully dries so it flexes with the tire. For $35 it's probably worth a shot, since the pens were $7-8 each, and if this does 2 coats on 4 tires per can for full whitewalls, it should be plenty for raised white letters.

I don't think I've even thought about tire letter paint for about thirty years! Now that's retro!

I miss my Firestone's, Goodyear's and especially my BF Goodrich RWL tires. They looked so cool. Baloney skins are all you can get these days, and if you want RWL, you have to buy truck tires. So sad.
