Will putting eibach springs void my suspension warranty?
I have been having trouble finding out if install eibach or hks lowering springs on my challenger will it void my suspension warranty? Everyone says that it has to be mopar lowering springs to keep my suspension warranty.
It all depends on your dealership. I have them on my car along with white brothers sways and was told my suspension warranty was now voided. I really didn't care because most of the suspension was replaced and ill bring it back to the speed shop if there are problems. Hope this helps
we use stage 1 Mopar and it doesnt void warranty, same idea, shouldnt affect anything
however be careful with service contract companies, many have tire size and modifications as ground for declining warranty, its written in the fine print
for example car came with 245/45r20, you have 275's, thats ground for declining the warranty, whether its related or not, and written in the fine print

Is there a way I can find where is at? and do you think its worth voiding the warranty if I put eibach springs on? Im just afraid if I will ever need that warranty again.

If you install lowering springs that change the geometry of the suspension that Chrysler engineered to work together as a whole and you have an issue with another suspension how can you not blame the springs?
Luke is right on what he said the Mopar springs will not void warranty.
And streetrod is right too...sometimes its a judgement call on certain dealerships. Some will look past it, some wont. But dont get upset if they deny you.
What rmfootball said just wont fly. Now if they deny an engine issue cause of springs yes you have a point I wont argue that...but denying a suspension claim with lowering springs nothing wrong with that.
Magnuson is not an air tight defense, have been to court on numerous occasions and have not lost a case.....
in theory lowering springs do change the geometry of a vehicle and could cause an issue with shocks and strut, maybe!!!
however our experience with the stage 1's, lowers the vehicle approx 1.5 inches, and we never had an issue, we have at least 30 or 40 vehicles running around us, that we see on a regular bases without a single issue....
springs should never affect powertrain warranty, may affect suspension related components, maybe!!!
aftermarket lowering springs that achieve the same end, should have the same outcome, now lowering more than that could cause more significant issues with shocks or struts, maybe even bearings if the angles have been change significantly enough, in my opinion, not likely
more likely to have issue with suspension on a Jeep or truck that has been jacked up more than 3 inches, where pinion angle and suspension components have been change dramatically
some dealers are more apt to decline for fear of non payment by chrysler, dealers really need to use common sense, if it appears to be directly related, than it is, simple
old rule applies, you want to play, be ready to pay
if your vehicle rolled in our service department with a suspension related issues, we would not condemned the warranty until we had a look at the vehicle, we would use good common sense and make a decision based on what we see and find
if your really worried about warranty, then do nothing to your vehicle!!!!!
anything you do can have repercussions, the outcome in most cases will depend on the dealer......
