So for the past few days I've been looking at a ton of different wheels trying to make up my mind on something. I ran across a set I quite like, they are Rohana RFX5 wheels. Here is where I am uncertain.
They offer 20x9, 20x10, and 20x11 wheels. I'm going to get the 20x9 for the front and wanted to get the 20x11 for the rear (to fit 3xx tires) but I'm not sure if they will fit....
The offset for the front would be 22mm
The offset for the rear would be 28mm
Would this setup work without rubbing if I ran either 305 or 315 tires in the rear and 275s in the front? I do sometimes drive my car aggressively I will admit, so I want the car to be able to perform at its peak without issues like rubbing even under hard cornering. Also would I need to have my fenders rolled?
My car is lowered with H&R springs which dropped the front and rear roughly 1.5 inches.
I haven't seen 11s on the rear of the challengers yet. You may need to roll the fenders or even use spacers. Not sure. The front is no problem. Why not go with 10" in the rear? You could run 305s. Have you looked at forgestars or MRR. You can get custom bolt pattern and offset. I believe forgestar is having a sale now. Front 20x9 with 275/40s and 20x10.5+25 with 315/35s will work great IMO.

Offers free shipping and will be beat any competitors price. Real nice guy and knowledgeable. Tell him Vic with the yellow challenger referred you

Ah ok darn, if I could fit a 305 on a 10 inch rim though I would be happy. Are you sure it will fit without any sidewall deformation? All the tire specs I've looked at say 305 requires at least a 10.5 inch wheel. I've looked at a couple other threads where people put on 20x11 wheels, but there wasn't much information to be found. I want to be 100% certain what I get will work, otherwise it will be a very expensive mistake!!
I've looked at forgestar and I've been seriously considering them as well. It's just I really like the look of these wheels. And thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to talk to Jason if I do end up getting a set of wheels
I wish they offered the wheels I want in 10.5 but they do not. I know for sure a 3xx will fit a 10.5 rim but I don't think they will (properly) fit a 10 inch rim. That's what I wanted to get the 20x11. I called Rohan and they said the 20x11 with 28mm offset should work, but I'm not sure if I 100% trust them.
I could but then I would have to wait for the wheel to get shipped and what not, and if it didn't work I would have to return it, probably on my dime. Would rather see if other people have tried it.
I saw those and was seriously considering them for a while. In the end however I decided I wanted to go with a 5 spoke style wheel. Forgestar has the CF5 but I'm not sure about how it looks, never seen them on a challenger before....
What I really wish I could find is a set of rotary forged wheels that look like the 11-14 SRT 5 spoke wheels. Those are perfect, just wish they were bigger than 20x9
I've looked for hours and hours and couldn't really find anything. Either the bolt pattern is incorrect, the sizing is too small/big, the price is ridiculous, or the offset isn't right.
There are many challengers running 20x11 on this forum. Do a search and you find alot of info. The 28mm in the back will probably cause rubbing in the inside plastic with 315 wide tires. Easy fix with a rubber mallet.
The ideal offset would be +20 to +22 on a 20x11 rear.
Also, keep in mind that all tires don't measure the same. ie..Nitto 315's run small and Michelin 315's are more like 325's
Here are some pics of 20x11 rears.
So would I be good if I had say 305 pirellis with the 20x11 wheel with a 28 offset? Even under hard cornering? I can reshape the wheel well plastic with a heat gun if necessary.
Also I know they make bigger reproductions of the SRT wheel but like you said they are cast. I only want to have forged, don't want to take a step back from my OEM SRT wheels by going from forged to cast.
20x11 +28 won't fit if you want to run a 305 tire. You'll need to run a +22 20x11 rear wheel. But I caution you, the 14 and older cars will require the rear fender lip to be rolled if you go too wide. The 15+ have the rear fender lip rolled from the factory.
