2007/08 BOSS Mustang?!?!

I know about the SVT dealers only serving SVT cars. the article came off a mustang forum. The are only making the GT500 shelby car for 07 only 7500 being built and that is it they are going to build all they have parts for then liquidate them through all ford dealers nationwide. The SVT certification was required to train and certify mechanics that are SVT dealerships but with SVT gone that is no longer required......

...Well maybe in the future products as of now,this is definitely still an svt product,(even though cobra name was removed,as a marketing ploy using shelby's name)that the ford dealer has to be svt certified to work on the '07 shelby's,as I have seen the official paperwork from ford,which would make sense as these cars are unique from the regular mustang gt. The dealers that are not svt certified have a chance to do soo to recieve the shelby,..if they don't get trained in certification,they won't recieve the new shelby.

If yous guys are going to bore me with Ford talk than here is a Ford story for ya. In 1984 the hot car choices were Mustang/Capri, Camaro/Firebird and Shelby Charger(not so hot). I went out on a limb and bought a 1984 Capri 5.0. This car was the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned! Here is the list:
Slammed the door-windshield cracked, T-Tops leaked bad, Car creaked when going around an inclined corner(twisting), rear end went bad, The car leaked fluid out of heater core on chicks foot(not good), and The hard plastic vacuum lines cracked (mechanics could not fix leaks). I will never own another Ford!
I can't wait to pull up alongside a Mustang in my Challenger!
You know they are going to build it, relax!

I agree with RRHEMI. I dont care about the new fords! I dont care about the old fords for that matter. This is CHALLENGER talk. You need a PHORD BOARD Mopar or no car!!!!!! They will build this car! PS my best friend bought a new srt8 charger and didnt pay over sticker!

...Any American muscle car for me that are retro in design(except that 4dr. thing called the charger,and the funny lookin thing called the new gto ),...but I want the hemi challenger srt-8 first,and after that,the styling goes down the drain for me with the current American line-up with the 4dr.cr#p and ugly designs,...which leads me too my 2nd choice the new near 500hp Shelby gt500 baby!!!...and yes I will say it,anytime I want thank you!!!!!!!!

So what do you think about the little trick the side window does to allow you to open the door on the Stang? I couldn't buy that car just because of that.
I'm betting that your 70' Challenger is still in your stable long after the GT is gone. We can talk about fords if ya want VP. Not much else going on anyway. My friends Father had a 69 Torino Cobra 428 4 speed. Car had highway gears but he would take us for a white knuckle ride every once in a while. Then the cam broke so it sat in the driveway for years.
So how bout GM does a 55-57 Chevy retro car? The holden retro car is pretty cool.

Actually, that little trip seals-up the window joint very well... should prevent rattling in the years to come.

I don't understand what people do NOT like about the new Mustangs... they look good and they move pretty well... whole new design, better engine... for $28,000 fully loaded, you'd have a hard time finding a competitive vehicle. And you can actually sit in the rear seat if you're not over 6'.

I'm a mopar guy at heart, but, the 'deal' for this GT is damned good.

Couldn't agree more with you... and the new stangs are hott,especially the new Shelby. First on my list is the new Hemi challenger srt-8(hopefully a 6.4l),..but if they don't decide too make the challenger,or screw up the design like the other one, I have no problem getting the new stang!! Ford was the first to the punch with the ultra cool retro muscle car look,..and now dcx wants to follow suit because of the mustang sales,..its about damn time!!...Soo my hats off too Ford for restarting the muscle car wars,...and if dcx don't get off their butt soon and give us some official news soon,...they will lose more and more customers IMO as the time slips by them!! PS-If this thread or my post bores anybody else,then they need to post on a different thread,as I do believe this thread was started, talking about the mustang!...Hello all you McFly's out there?! ...but the one comment someone said about my 70 challenger was correct,I will never give that up,its like my guns,..same motto,...you'll have to pry my cold dead fingers from it!!

YES! I agree 100% with MustangSally and Vanishing Point! If I have to.. .I will wait as long as needed for DCX to wake up ...until model year 2009. THEN, I will buy the baddest new Mustang (this will be my first one: rumors of a 1969~1970 retro styled model). The Mustang is built on the Lincoln LS~Jaguar platform . I test drove a stick 2006 GT and it is a great car: good looking, fast, solid, well built and great exhaust music! The next model is rumored to have IRS and this is what I want on my next pony. If I am not pleased with the new Mustang..I will buy a new Camaro...the baddest one!(Again my first one...if it is built!) AND if DCX is not pleased with what I am thinking...DCX knows what to do! I have been a MOPAR fan all my life, BUT if DCX do not build the CHALLENGER or ruin it the way they did the Charger, it is for sure not because they do not have the resources..it is only because they are thinking only MONEY AND PROFITS and are afraid of not doing enough of it with the Chall! If DCX do not care enough about their fans to build the CHALLENGER...so why would I care about them!!! ...and..DCX... you can take this to the bank!
