Unhappy 2008 model canceled- Imperial

I read today on MSNBC.com (automotive section) that Chrysler has canceled the Imperial. It was to be made in the same plant as the Challenger.
Whats next on the hit list ????????????

The Imperial never really had a following. It was too big, too heavy, and too ugly! It would be a money loser for Chrysler. Good decision.

This will give the Brampton plant the capacity to build more Challengers!

Re: 2008 model canceled

I agree the Imperial was pretty ugly. Who was the intended customer for them? About 0.25% of the population I would guess.
Good move!

Re: 2008 model canceled- Imperial

I agree - that Imperial was uglier than home made sin, I'm actually glad Chrysler isn't making it. That just means that this should free up some more production capacity for the Challenger.

Re: 2008 model canceled- Imperial

If they do not make the 'Cuda, I am already pondering teh expense of a Cervini or other company's kit to cocnvert a challenger to a 'Cuda. It wouldn't be to difficult except for the quarter panels.....
