thanks for the laughs, but it's just going to get the 7 or 8 frequent-posting anti-government types here on their same old tiresome rants. Here's hoping it's shut down quickly and we can take the political fun to a different website.

Excellent post. These quotations are not only "brimming" with truth, but are both entertaining and particularly applicable to these times we live in.

Thank you for "making my day."

Respectfully,

Gary aka "beamg5"

My apologies. Honestly did not see the "No Politics" note. This was not meant to be an anti-government type posting, but thoought it was interesting from a historical perspective only. That said, if a Moderator can delete the posting as appropriate please.

Thank you,
RBJ

Don't worry about it, it is a funny list folks will enjoy, and they'll probably let it run awhile if the responses stay light and not get into deeper political analysis. I just like to tweak the political posters once in awhile.

Very good historical quotes - the more things change, the more they stay the same!

Not to worry: if it gets too political some easily-offended type will complain to get the thread shut down.

25 Great Truths

Great post. Thanks.
#15 for me. And this "if you're not a liberal when you're young, you don't have a heart. If you're not a conservative when are older, you don't have a brain".
I think I've matured a little bit since 2008
