Googled the event and found it is a Black Planet that will travel between the Earth and the Sun between 12/21/12 and 7/1/13. A Black Plant is one that has no stars (Moons).
It travels by Earth every 3600 years ... lol ... here is the catch ... it is now 2012 and that means it traveled by Earth in 1600 BC. There was no significant accounts recorded in history then to justify the "End of the World".
Recorded history only goes back 6000 years to 4000 BC ... the Great Flood and Noah ... enough said ... So, here's mud in your eye! Happy Holidays!

People are stupid. It's not the end of the world its just the Mayan Calender rolling over another "Baktun" Just like we rolled over into 2000. Oh god Y2K!
The last time the Mayan calender rolled over to a new Baktun was Sept 18, 1618. It rolled over to 12.0.0.0.0 and on December 21st it will roll to 13.0.0.0.0.
