Is this info from the dealer 'in writing '? Also, what is the name of this dealer ? I believe you ,but not the dealer, as this info has not been officially released. Also, skeptical or wondering how the dealer can assure you that you'll get one of the first 10 ! I'm guessing that the 1st 10 already have dibs on them !!! Also, as far as it's known , the 6.4 is not ready for the streets yet [ even though we are about a year away from the 1st & 10 being ready to " HIT IT " ]: or am I incorrect ?

the 6.4 was officially announced on Tuesday, I was there when they did it.

According to allpar.com, the 6.4L will be available in 2008, but not as a production engine-only as a crate engine.

Here is their quote and website reference:

"The 6.4 liter version, at a historic 392 cubic inches, due in 2008 with the Dodge Challenger, does the SRT-8 one better, and we'd like to know how since the extra size isn't all that much. It generates a full 505 horsepower. Because it’s a crate engine for racing only, it’s quite possible that some sacrifices made for gas mileage and emissions reduction in even the SRT-8 version (6.1 liters, created in mid-2005, and not using multiple diplacement) have been removed. However, this is a race-only engine, and is not emissions legal or necessarily even practical for street use."
