Re: Arcade Installed!!

I played them for hours in the arcade. My only other gripe is the version of Asteroids plays too slow compared to the orginal. But when you can play these games from free I shouldnt complain. I'd rather play them than todays games that take months to figure out and master.

Re: Arcade Installed!!

I can't wait for the original version of 'Pong' to added sometime soon...lol.

I remember actually selling that game system to anxious customers 'back in the day'...it was all the rage back then. I still have an original (working) 'Atari' 2600 console system along with a large number of game cartridges that I 'break-out' every once in awhile. My first PC game was the original 'DOOM' (having successfully defeated that entire series as well...including 'DOOM 3'), which I really enjoyed playing until the new generation (more realistic) PC games came along. My son has had all of the consoles at one time or another, and he's now into his Sony 'PSP' system. These days, I enjoy mastering the 'Metal of Honor' series, 'Call of Duty' series, 'Delta Force' series, and also enjoy testing new maps for the current 'Joint Operations' series. Video games have certainly come a long way since the days of 'Pong'.

Here, give the original video game a try...

Remember PacMan?

A nice Java rom emulation of the arcade game, though the sounds still need work.

I think thats called Breakout... I played it on my Atari 2600 back in the day.

And there was a popular game based on breakout called "Arkanoid" which some might remember.
