Battlestarfanfilm.org, a website organized by a team of Classic
Battlestar Galactica Fans, gave the Battlestar fan community the first look at
its upcoming fanfilm, The 14th Colony, due out later this year. Two
versions of the first trailer were released on the team's website today.

"The trailers were assembled to show off at the fan film showings at
Denver's Starfest" said John Rogers, the film's director and producer.
"Last weekend, attendees at Denver's Starfest got the very first look at
the trailers, and we also gave our own team a sneak peek at them. The
results of these advance showings were very gratifying--but it's time to
allow the rest of the Battlestar fan community a look at what we've
been working on these past few months. Our entire team has been really
excited to get to show off some of the work they've been doing."

Among the two versions of the trailer is a special extended edition,
which provides a glimpse into the pre-production artwork and elements in
the project.

"We also wanted to show support for the rest of the Battlestar Fan
community, so we asked Daniel of Battlestarfanfilms.com to make the first
announcement on his website," continued John Rogers. The two websites,
though not affiliated, are both dedicated to the advancement of fanfilms
in the Battlestar Galactica setting.

"With this trailer, we really wanted to thank the Galactica fans for
their support, and to promise them that there is more yet to come. Our
team is composed of very talented people, and to have them be a part of
this is a real privilege," John added.

"Keep watching. We're just getting started."

The trailers can be viewed at www.battlestarfanfilm.org, and will require
the latest version of Quicktime to view.

Umm, I'm a big fan of the new series and I have TOS on DVD - but - this really isn't the place for this.

Isn't there a Battlestar Galactica forum somewhere? I suppose off-topic could be strrretttched to off-world. But it is a stretch.

I belong to a few internet forums or bulletin boards if you will, some definitely on topic for what I posted here. I have come to find like any community people have varied interests and internet forums are communities. Often we get to know each other and Off Topic sections are usually a place where people can share interests other than the forums main subject. Most times if something Off Topic doesn’t interest someone you ignore it.

If I broke some rule I apologize. Man can not live on Mopar Muscle alone.
