Re: Is the Challenger better than the Camaro?

Since I have a daily driver I would go for the rarer breed. This rebirth period we are in has me feeling like it's high school again. I do know that as car enthusiasts we are probably being way to liberal in guessing how popular these cars will be. The OZ Goat never sold over 15,000 a year at $33,000.

I will let you "gotta have it" guys get yours first and work out all the bugs. Then I'll pick up a new and improved a year or two after.

I am sure the 2010 SRT8 version will have the 6.4L. Unless something drastic happens, I think the whole SRT8 lineup will see an upgrade by then.

Will

drastic as in ww3 or aliens invading

What do you think killed of the muscle cars of the early '70's?

I was just born but if I was told correctly, emissions and fuel shortage...

Will it happen again, i am not sure but history does have a tendency to repeat itself...

I agree Tails,

The problem with the Goat was definately not power, especially in '05 but the looks. Don't get me wrong, I don't really mind it, but I don't believe the GTO really sparked any fire under the buyers butt. My vision of the GTO is being very bold, standoffish like the '69 GTO. It still rocks! Do to whatever reasons, GM missed the boat on it. Not too mention, I think that's why they had trouble selling the camaro and Trans Am too in comparison to the Mustang in the '90's and 00's.

If DCX keeps the 'look' of the prototype in the production model of the Challenger they will easily sell 30,000.

This is my thoughts also.
