Is Chrysler capable of making a CTS-V's beater

This is the first time I'm making a thread on this forum, but I'm hoping one big-@$$ boss would see this:
Is Chrysler capable of making a car to kick the **** out of CTS-V??
the new car spec has been released Straightline - Official specs: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V makes 556 horsepower

As with the SRT-10 vs Z06, I wish I can see 4-door sedan either 300C or Charger capable to stand in the face of this bad dog.
556hp, 3.9s, 12sec run and 191mph are far from achievement with the current 6.1L or even 6.4L without the blower. The 392CI can make 550hp and 500+ of torque and the best top speed with the 6.1L is the Challenger's with something around 180mph (Don't remember exactly).
This car is almost as fast as the '06 SRT-10 which is not good for Dodge fans (I hate GM in general)

Chrysler please bring this car NIGHTMARE..

But I'm talking about a car directly from the factory and no parts from the catalog.

I, know, I know; I'm just trying to see if Jay Leno's People are watching..see if I can , perhaps get part time job as a comedic writer...get a ride in his "Chally" !!! Ok, now granted this new Cadillac has power but I'm 'notsure' if both are in the same class; the Challenger being a mid-size coupe and the CTS-V being considered ??? Are you wanting the CTS for "Topdog" hp bragging rights or do you plan on racetrack competition. Yes, it seems the CTS can whoop the current SRT8's, but Chrysler already has a factory Mopar that can and will beat this Cadillac : that is available for purchase. They also have at least one other vehicle ,not for sale or in production that can and will whoop out any [except maybe 1 or 2] other vehicle - Worldwide { which I will not mention at this point !!} : but this one doesn't count . I guess ,also, with a lot of talk about whose got the most hp, I'm just wondering where all the competition can take place? If one lives way out in sparsley populated interstate/state highways and /or long stretches of country roads ; whose surface conditions are quality and free of chuck holes etc.: then fine I'm all for that [with safety adhereance too] !!! otherwise, in major metro areas [i.e. Chicagoland] like mine around here; full of vehicles, horrid road condition and precarious drivers as well as gobs of local, county, state cops all over the place;I just cannot!! Heck, I still think about when this expletivecop gave me a ticket for "patching out" from a stoplight about 25 years ago[ in my '70 Challenger w/a 'lil 318 ].I had to go to court and idiot judge says, " Were you peeling rubber " ? $$$$

Re: Is Chrysler capable of making a CTS-V's beater

I live near a stretched highway and also a drag strip. So, with My CHALLENGER I'll both street race and drag race. When I'm thinking of buying the Challenger I'm opting for the 392 (when it comes available) my only concern is the Holden SS-V. The CTS-V isn't gonna be cheap (maybe around the same price as the standard 911) so I wouldn't see it or get bothered by it as I'm with the SS-V. All I'm trying to see is if the CTS and the 300C are in the same class, then I think Chrysler should start looking into their MOPAR catalog and drop some missile into the 300C. The 600hp SRT10 is below 3.5sec, so if the 300C or Charger came down to sub 4sec it wouldn't hurt our beautiful halo car.
About the speed tickets, I don't car that much as long as I don't get my license suspended. Beside, I'm 25 and I wanna know how it felt like in the late '60s during the muscle cars war.

Re: Is Chrysler capable of making a CTS-V's beater

I don't get the comparison. If Chrysler put a supercharger on the 6.1 they could easily get to 550HP... Maybe more?

All GM did was slap a supercharger on the 7.0 LS7(correction 6.2). For a SC on that size motor, it's WEAK! They must have detuned it so it wouldn't beat the Z06. (correction, the 6.2 w/SC is the 09 CTS-V from what I can tell... now the HP sounds about right)

The PPP 7.0L setup has 519 RearWheel HP w/o a supercharger and runs 11.080 in the 1/4... So yeah, Chrysler could EASILY match those numbers, but it would be too much investment if it was ONLY for bragging rights (ie, not sales)

Re: Is Chrysler capable of making a CTS-V's beater

The two cars are in totally different price ranges as well.... something to keep in mind.

Re: Is Chrysler capable of making a CTS-V's beater

Yea the price range is a big gap. You could take that money and easily kill a CTS-V in a charger

Mid sized??? That must mean the Chrysler 300 is also a mid-size. Hmm..I thought it was a full sized car.

Mid sized would be the Avenger and Sebring....at least by todays standards.

Chrysler does build a car that beats the CTS-V. The Viper.
