At the 2007 SEMA show, there was a hemi-orange 'Cuda concept car.
Although it is great that Dodge is thinking about the 'Cuda, basing it on modified Charger body does not work. See: http://wkjeeps.com/misc/SEMA_2007/SEMA07.htm |

Re: 'Cuda Concept Car
Alright...personally I got my info from http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/29/s...ler-barracuda/. Now from what I seen in the pictures, everything is good except front end styling. The car itself is a concept and needs some interior and exterior work. My vote would be for Doug Schramm's rendition of the Cuda:http://www.automotivestylings.com/design.htm ![]() Now THAT is a Cuda I could handle!!! P.S. - Vote Ron Paul for President...http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ I want my country back!!! Last edited by Apro4x4 : 10-30-2007 at 11:27 AM. |

redletterdodge.com, Doge's official blog posted this today:
"LAS VEGAS — Welcome to SEMA 2007. We’re here at the MOPAR Speedshop display, home of the Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler offerings, bringing you the Dodge-related action (it’s so crowded at this show, were actually typing this on the front seat of a rally-style Jeep on display just to find a place to work.) We’ll have a full wrap tomorrow of the fun around town (including more of the Dakota MX Warrior), but for now — in the spirit of all the MOPAR fans who are eagerly awaiting Challenger’s debut — enjoy a look at the 2008 Concept ’Cuda. It’s been one of the stars of the show so far, creating a whisper campaign in some circles as to if this meant a return of the crowd favorite nameplate. Well, we can tell you it’s just a show car. It was custom made for MOPAR to display at the show, created from a Charger SRT8. It has a 6.1 HEMI, pistol-grip shifter mated to a six-speed autostick and (this being SEMA) rolls on 22s. No doubt, it’s a looker and should give a bit of pleasure to those who have chanted its name on this very site. Plus, there’s a peek at the Challenger Stock concept…the cousin of the Orange. More to come…" ![]() |

Re: 'Cuda Concept Car
WHEW!! I thought they were down uglying I mean down grading the interiors. I like it for the most part, they just need to give it the challenger interior and get rid of the slant on the rear tail lihts. And I would prefer the 71 stule grille. That's just me though!!

Re: 'Cuda Concept Car
I dont know about you guys, but that is not my picture of a 70 'Cuda. The way 3/4 side shots remind me more of a 68 camaro. the rear fenders are way to rounded and slope down too much.
dont get me wrong, someone has some talent for sure, i just think they should have put as a 68 Camaro showcar, not 70 'Cuda. RoostKing... Last edited by RoostKing : 10-31-2007 at 06:03 AM. |

Re: 'Cuda Concept Car
The grill looks much more like the B body barracuda grill than the e body version of the barracuda / cuda. The slope on the rear end is a little odd looking. It would probably look better as a ragtop with that slope. Also would look at a different year tail light config with that sloping rear end to keep some more of the retro look. The shaker hood definitely works , the interior doors need to have a little more of the original look to them not the high flip handle door release. I guess that slope on the rear end kind of squashes some of its retro appeal.
