The normal wait now is aprox. month in a half to two months.

My choices were:
1st GT500 Shelby
2nd Challenger
3rd Camaro

Shelby was 1st due to it was released first. I like all three and if I had the money all three would be mine. Mostly I am glad to see manufactuers back in the Muscle Car Wars. Hopefully Pontiac will take the Camaro body and make a Trans Am, and Murcury take a Mustang and do a Cougar. I have seen pics of both drawings in July 06 issue of Hot Rod magazine.

To me the Charger isn't retro enough to be considered in the Muscle Car Wars.
Congratulations on your New Shelby! Would love one myself....
Would be a great car to stable next to my 2003 Mercury Marauder.

Re: Decided against the Challenger due to.......

man don't post pictures of each and ever car. That would take up too many posts and hijack this thread. Create a new thread and in that thread have a family protrait of your current fleet, could be in or out of the village, showing each and every car in your current fleet. That way several of us serious doubters out there will be corrected. Cause a photograph of a sti setting on a dealership lot does not make you look credible.....

Re: Decided against the Challenger due to.......

OK that's it, I have had enough. The one car picture posted is off a used car lot, just where on the internet did you find it? Look it's one thing to go around insulting everyone and calling people rednecks but tell the truth at least. It is much better to be a redneck than a congenital liar. Even the dog picture could be from anywhere on the net, just give it up, if you are so rich, handsome and cool, just what are you doing spending so much time here?
A little story if anyone reads this far: when I was looking for a Cobra R to buy I visited Mustang boards a lot. On one board that I went to just once I think, a guy had posted a picture of a supposed black R. Now the real R came in red only unless it was repainted. But anyway this guy said that the stock 385hp just wasn't enough and what should he do to get more, turbo or super or what, yada, yada.
The first or second post after that was a guy from Houston who knew the car and the owner. The poster had found the picture on the net and wanted to be a big man and make believe he was a cool R owner.
Pardon me for being skeptical but but the fleet and bicoastal crap is just to good to be true unless it is true. If so, fine I apologize in advance but at least tone it down and be nice and respectful of others.
I want to stay on this board but it is becoming difficult because of stuff like this.
My mother taught me that bragging was bad manners, I wish yours had done that too.

Re: Decided against the Challenger due to.......

LSR,

Congratulations on your purchase. I bought the ’05 Mustang GT after falling in love with it the moment I saw the concept in ’03. It was deja vú all over again this past November when I saw the spy photos of the Challenger concept. Wow, what a beautiful sight. I've already committed myself to somehow finding a way to get the Challenger in two years without trading the Mustang. I can't wait.
In regards to the ’05 Mustang, despite all the factory restrictions to keep the speed down, it can still get me places in a hurry. I can only imagine the insane power the GT500 will have. Congrats.

Cool Re: Decided against the Challenger due to.......

Thanks Moparian & rcaponong

rcaponong, yes the Challenger concept is a very attractive, mean, cool looking car. I want one as well, and when it hits the streets, I will probably try to get one as well. And as for the GT500, I had a chance to drive one a couple of weeks ago. The car is so amazing and looks so much better in person. When driving the car, it is almost like being famous, people go nuts looking at the car from taking photos, following the car etc.

Yup its true I am fortunate to reside in S Fla as my residence and I work in La Jolla,Ca for the Scripps Instit. They have opened a new Palm Beach County campus in addition to their La Jolla HQ. I am sure the mods can check my IP and tell ya my general local. I am in Calif Monday and Tuesdays then Jupiter Wed, Th and Fri. and the weekends off.

My mom has long since died so I grew up in a Korean orphnage for wayword American children. My dad is Kim Song Ill he is such a "dear leader" and father I am truly blessed. Thanks for permitting me to comeforth and not be condoned as a pariah w/ malicious intent for my forth wit behavior.
God bless america and scorn the infidels that hath scourned our country.
