Question Do you think they should revive Plymouth?

I think they should make the barracuda off the same platform as the challenger since a lott of people say that they think the challenger looks a little like a cuda

Talking Re: Do you think tat they sould revive plymouth?

I would love to see Plymouth be restarted....but I don't believe that will ever happen for all the possible reasons..financial, etc. Now, it could possibly be a nice little marketing move to bring out a 'special edition' Plymouth or two to resurrect the Rapid Transit System/Scat Pack cars in limited edition...maybe by order only. Would be expensive for you and me, but might reap a financial windfall for Chrysler.

I too would love to see Plymouth restarted... That being said I think it would be a huge mistake for DCX to do so. It could cause DCX to end up like GM with too many brand names competing against each other.

I like the idea of a special edition. Maybe a special edition Cuda that DCX can sell in Chrysler dealerships.

Nah leave it and the Cuda dead. I think that people are over estimating the name value of the Cuda. It would be popular but honestly it would only be popular with those 40+ or who are diehard muscle car guys. The Challenger can more than fit the bill.

Re: Do you think tat they sould revive plymouth?

With the current hard times in the automotive world, I do not think it would be a good idea to ressurect yet another brand that will duplicate vehicles that Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep are already "duplicating"... I just think their current brand lineup is good enough.

Re: Do you think that they should revive Plymouth?

I agree with ekool...maybe just revive the 'Cuda' name as a special 'limited edition' model.

I agree with Mr.DJ and eKool...

Revive the name 'Cuda. RIP Plymouth....

Interesting fact though, when GM and Daimler dropped Oldsmobile and Plymouth, they never regained the auto sales in their other products...

Yep, that sure does sound rather odd. You'd figure they would have captured some cross-over business...I wonder where those customers went?

Re: Do you think tat they sould revive plymouth?

I agree that it would be awesome to see Plymouth come back (for the sole purpose of a Cuda/Roadrunner), but it would be suicide for Chrysler... to restart an entire company for just that... maybe there's another way around it, but otherwise, it would be COSTLY.

Grant it, people would flock to the cars, but I don't know if it would be profitable in the end.
