Re: Dodge 'Challenger' die-cast models...whatcha' got?

Wow chasb, I'm truly envious...good show!

Is that a BB '300' series (bottom left) I see? If so, might I inquire as to how you acquired it? I'd like to get one myself, which hasn't been 'blinged-out'; however, I do already have the 'Dub City' (Tanahara) 1/24 scale version...thanks.

On this subject, has anyone ever seen a good 1/18 scale model of the Trans-Am Challenger driven by Sam Posey? I would love to have one.

I haven't, but then again, the hobby shops in my area have an extremely limited inventory, and I'm yet to even see one Challenger or 'cuda die-cast model. That's why my wife's 'car wash find' was such a special surprise.

Re: Boys and their toys...

Lol, speaking of toys. I just picked up this die cast model of a 426 Hemi. I also bought a miniature cherry picker to proudly display it above my desk! It's cool, the cherry picker works just like a real one with the teeny jack haha.

I took a couple of photos so you can see the size. Lol, I luff it!

Re: Boys and their toys...

Just got in, it's midnight...been sandblasting my project car since 7pm. I have sand in orafaces I didn't yet knew existed :P

I bought it at a place called Harbor Tools. Don't know if they're a chain store or not, might google them. I know there's one in Western Oregon as well so might be?

The engine was 29 bucks and came with a stand and info about it, pretty snazzy, some kind of collectors edition thing. The cherry picker was 19 I think, maybe it was 20, can't remember. I just bought it today. Last time I was in the store that Hemi kept calling my name, so I went and got them both lol. The guys at my work think I'm a total dork for having that on my desk, but they just aren't in with the (V)opar crowd

Re: Dodge 'Challenger' die-cast models...whatcha' got?

Look what my wife bought for me at the 'On The Run' convenience market a couple of days ago...my latest die-cast acquisition.

1970 Plymouth HEMI 'cuda custom

(2005 Jada Toys - 1/24 scale )

Note: Also seen in the photo is a copy of August 2006's issue of 'Octane' magazine, which contains a very good 'test drive' article (including some great photos) of the new Dodge 'Challenger' concept. The article also contains a nice, yet small, side-by-side 'comparo' shot of the 'Challenger' concept next to the current 'Mustang GT'.

Re: Dodge 'Challenger' die-cast models...whatcha' got?

Mr. DJ, I bought that exact same car at Toys 'R Us last year, but mine is purple. Here I went looking for toys for the kids and what do I end up buying? Yep, something for me :P

Yep Kroke, I know exactly what you mean. Although my two sons have outgrown toys long ago, it looks like I now finally have a chance to relive my childhood all over again...with these new die-cast Mopar models.
