I Said No Bashing!
For those who missed the entire purpose of this thread, it has little to do with California, and Everything to do with the rest of the country's reaction to the outcome of this lawsuit!
Think about it, Ok so Cali throws a Whack case into the system, and they have enough Like-minded people on a jury to agree with the State's case... Other states now see an opportunity to file similar suits because they see the Multi-million dollar revenue California pulled out of the air and get a gleam in their eye for all the new things they could waste that kind of Free Money on! In the mean-time, auto manufacturers have no choice but to respond by reducing emissions by reducing engine displacements offered, as well as increasing exhaust restriction, costing them more money, and in turn, raising the price of Automobiles because they are surely not going to eat the cost themselves... Long term outcome... I drive a brand new 300W "Dodge Electrode" instead of a Bad ass 500+ HP HEMI! Don't miss the point! I could care less about what goes on in California, to each his own, I just don't want to Lose any Chance of driving a respectable MuscleCar! ~Smokn Before the link goes dead, This is the Cut and Paste of the story, from Yahoo News Calif. sues 6 carmakers over greenhouse gases Wed Sep 20, 1:20 PM ET SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California filed suit against Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F - news), General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM - news), Toyota Motor Corp. (7203.T) and three other carmakers on Wednesday, charging that greenhouse gases from their vehicles have cost the state millions of dollars. State Attorney General Bill Lockyer said the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Northern California was the first of its kind to seek to hold manufacturers liable for the damages caused by their vehicles' emissions. The lawsuit also names Chrysler Motors Corp., the U.S. arm of Germany's DaimlerChrysler (DCXGn.DE), and the North American units of Honda Motor Co. (7267.T) and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (7201.T) |

Re: End of the MuscleCar as we Know it?
Here in Dallas TX we are forced to pump ethanol blended gas into our cars. Yea it burns cleaner but it is less efficient. So you end up paying more $ at the pump which makes some wonder about buying autos that are not as efficient as others.
