People sometimes mistake and lump all unions together. There's the International Brotherhoods
of which I'm a member(International Brotherhood of RailRoad Signalmen) and then there are
the Teamsters(Truckers,UPS etc.) which Hoffa is the leader. Believe me, there's a vast difference between the two. If half of what my UPS driver tells me is true, and I've know the guy for 20 years, I wouldn't put up with some of the crap the Teamsters pull with them
for 5 minutes without raising hell.
As far as the comment above about union labor being the best trained, equipt, etc..
YOU SURE BETTER BE - CHARGING CUSTOMERS / END USERS / AMERICANS 3X regular wage.
Remember you get what you pay for, most of are big jobs are completed early and under budget. So where do you get charged more? There's more to than pulling levers.
I'll add this. I'm surprised that Dodge doesn't have mandatory random drug and alcohol testing. They might have post accident testing if somebody gets hurt. I don't know.

I've seen 30 years of unions at Lockheed Martin and witnessed first hand the laying off of great , young, energetic, young family workers in favor of some lazy jerks that won't get off their butt to hit a lick because they have "seniority". I watch the young family guy go out the door and have to hunt for a job. Unions were necessary to counter-balance what companies were doing to the work-force.........."BACK IN THE 30's" !!! Now the pendulum has swung way too far and the "balance" is gone again........out of control in the unions' direction.

Nothing stronger than a Policemans Union protecting Policeman.......
Not true in Texas. A right to work state thats one of the best fairing of the states in this recession with 52% GDP growth between 2000 - 2010.
I am a public servant and have personally seen firings for this. Im not pro or anti union. Im for what is right, wrong and helps the USA by more jobs here, more stuff made here and sold "there". Unfortunatly there is no US economy, there is the global economy.

My chief will fire too. If its not a firing offense, my chief will an officer a season off without pay. One officer got 45 days off without pay and he got a new bible for using profanity.
I have issues with the big wiggers from the union Brass. My engineering job is not an engineering job because they say I can touch tools while on the job. I call that Bullshuvic. I have a tech assigned to me every job, he cant get done in a timely manner if I dont get involved. If I dont get involved with "Certain people" the job that normally takes 2 hours, takes all day. You all can get me wrong, but it's the Brass leadership that stirs my cup cold. And it does carry down to the minions, not all of them. My work, I have a 50/50 line of who I can work with and who I will not.

what galls me is that, given a similiar amount of video evidence, this would have gotten military members potentially court martialed and dishonorably discharged or at least non-judicial punishment with administrative discharge.
If civilian work force leadership held their workers to the same high standards of conduct as military members their would be a lot less of these types of issues.
