Re: Have You Ever Seen This ?

Even though it was only 245 HP, back in the late 90's that was pretty darn good. More importantly, it showed Chrysler was starting to accept the idea of producing a rear wheel drive car. That was a fundamental shift from a company that had eeked an existance on the K-car platform.

Re: Have You Ever Seen This ?

I remember that concept from years ago. It wasn't bad, but when it was sitting at the Dodge display at the car show, it never really fit in. I think that thing was always a "concept only" kind of concept.

If you remember, it had tail lights VERY reminiscent of old Cudas. If I had some time, I'd go try to find some pictures. That was how they tied it in to the muscle cars of old.

I have to say that I like the boxier look Dodge has moved into. That thing looks a little too much like a Camaro. The Challenger is definitely a step up.

You seem to have gone to a lot of car shows[ I'm jealous !!!] and you also have a good memory....Here's a shot of the rear; which shows the tail lights you remember/speak of ..... Well maybe it was the color that made it odd unless it's the way it showed up from the picture .

Re: Have You Ever Seen This ?

Well, I used to go to the Pittsburgh car show all the time back when I was growing up and still lived in PA. Now I generally make it to the Columbus Car Show every year. It's cheap, and they don't have all the great concept cars, but they have some stuff.

I generally remember the Chrysler/Dodge/(in the past)Plymouth/Jeep stuff because that's all my family ever gets. I'm MOPAR to my core.

This year I made the trip up the Detroit Auto Show, and I'll be doing that again next year. It's a fairly short drive for me, and well worth it. I love car shows! Great opportunity to sit in just about any vehicle you could imagine and really get a feel for things.

That Venom concept was a weird color all around. I think even back when they did that one, Dodge was moving toward the advertising all red scheme - so maybe they thought that color would stand out.

Done! It's pretty plain so far - when I have more time to spruce it up, I'll try!

A direct quote from Team SRT and why I love MOPAR all wrapped up in one:
The 5.7l engine was designed to be a balance of cost weight and power. The SRT 6.1L engine was designed to kick ass.
