Let's just let this go.
It's Legion681's thread. I you don't agree with members' responses and/or Legion's postings, then just ignore this thread and move on...thanks.

Re: A honest question to the manual tranny fan(atic)s...;)

LEGION 681 your question was WHY SOMEONE WOULD WANT A 6 SPEED MANUAL OVER A 6 SPEED DSG.

Someone would want a manual 6 speed for the reasons I stated before. It do not excludes valid reasons to decide for another type of transmission on the street.

When I was amateur racing (1968-9) I was driving a 1956 car (3 speed) and I had to double clutch at the time..no need for it now of course... but I still remember the special touch needed to properly shift. A manual transmission brings me back to those days.

On the CHALLENGER for the street, if offered by DCX, I would buy a more modern type of semi-manual transmission for the commodity of it...but for racing I would choose full manual... only for the feeling and sweet memories of it.

I envy you for your experience in racing in the golden years of muscle cars, Mike the Tiger ! I wish I was born a few years before, just for that sake.

Well, let's hope DCX will at least offer a manual for the Chally, because a DSG/SMG (the tranny I'd personally chose) would not be quite realistic.

Let's just let this go.
We had our full blown pretty awful discussions before, you and me...I remember perfectly that you loved to resort to insults (called me an "idiot", amongst other things) as often as you could, when you couldn't find anything worth a cent to say. Remember ?

Now just let me tell you a couple of things:
1) I saw you made a thread on the Challenger weight a while ago (still busting chops about that uh ? You still don't understand that the Challenger is only a reskinned Charger with a different interior and therefore weights and dimensions will be the same as a Charger. You weren't the smartest puppy in the litter, weren't you...)...even if I could contribute to it and most likely in a better way than any of your posts, I decided to stay out of it just because I thought it was the gentleman's thing to do...I despise you quite a lot and getting in your thread to provoke you, I deemed it an act of a total idiot which I am not, therefore I refrained from doing just that...but
2) ... now you come stumbling into my thread (which is automobile related and I must say I believe pretty interesting, because probably many people including me got to learn a bit about other types of trannies), in the general area, where I made clear that any comments/feedback, as long as they were related to it, were/are/will be welcome.
But what do you decide to do instead ? Pop in here, pompous as usual, and ask this thread to be closed by mods or abandoned by everyone !
This action you just performed, can only be considered in terms of forum discussion as belligerant and un unprovoked act of aggression.
If you want war, just ask for it and you will get it...got that ?

If there is something "worthless", it's not this thread (if you read it like you said, you might have learned something too...just re-read all threads about a trillion times and it might stick in that under performing tiny nut-sized brain of yours). It's you.
I can give you a few suggestions:
1) a good one: avoid at all costs replying to me or posting anything in a thread of mine or to any of my comments in any forum you might ever see me (I always use this nickname, it's easy to spot me). Seen you act aggressively, you will be welcomed with at least the same level of aggression every time. Mark my words...
2) a better one: crawl back to the sewer you call home and live the rest of your existance amongst your own. If you don't feel like doing this, I always hope someone will flush the toilet, that should take care of you.
3) the best one: this planet is getting crowded, resources are getting more scarce anyday and your value to society amounts to an absolute zero. Do you want me to spell what should be your course of action ? Use your imagination.

DO NOT CROSS MY PATH ANYMORE, OK ? I HOPE I MADE MYSELF VERY CLEAR TO YOU, ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Re: A honest question to the manual tranny fan(atic)s...;)

For some of us it is called skill... Those other transmissions dont take much skill to drive, It took some of the people I used to race against two years to figure out i had a manual and not an automatic in my car, Hmm I wonder if they cured the old over and up to get into third, in the old mopars with manual trannys that was the uber hard one and used to foul up a lot of people......Hmm which also brings up the question on how good is the stock pressure plate and clutch disc....Do I need to be heading aftermarket right away I wonder.....
