I Want a Challenger.........But..................

Than I went to www.roadandtrack.com wesbsite and read the article about the new 2007 Ford Shelby GT500. It's supercharged and it's $40,000. for the hardtop; the convertible is $4,000. more. Read for yourselves:

this car will be siick aswell.. but it aint gonna be 44k, ive heard they will be asking wayyy over sticker price.

I'm with you........it's still a FORD!!! I graduated from HS in '74 (yes, I'm old school compared to alot of you)...even back then my favorite cars were MOPAR.....and it's still MOPAR now!

Stupid stealerships, they always have to jack up the price on the anticipated models (don't they rape enough?). I like fords and mopars (puting on flame retardant suit now), but they have made the shelby into such a tank that it should be quicker than it is (though this was a preproduction model). We can only hope that DC doesn't follow suit and give the challenger too much baggage to carry.

12.9 in the 1/4 mile??? That number seems way off, the 03/04 cobras could run that with the "fatory" 390 hp they had. I would imagine that it will be running low 12s. I also highly doubt that it will be 40k, but only time will tell.
