Re: Is the LX platform a Full Frame then?

I doubt it. All cars since the mid 60s have been unibody except for those rare few with almost 500hp. Probably just a unibody car.

OK, I don't know why you would reject ND Rams answer so rudely,
then ask the question again?

Cuz Obviously, you don't know, and refuse to be informed,
and choose to insult anyone whose answer you do not understand.

Not a real good way to make points with the more mature members of the group,
the old guys that know stuff.

ND Ram is basically correct; I could elaborate a lot,
but you're probably not listening anyway.

Short answer;
there is no necessary correlation between rear wheel drive and full-frame construction,
and every car you named is a rear wheel drive unibody chassis.
[edit; except Chevelle & GTO; GM never being known to demonstrate progressive engineering,
which after all, might result in better products. ]

If your gonna have to resort to name-calling, I won't try to help answer any more of your questions. When was the last time you did a frame off restoration to a Challenger? How about a `Cuda? You didn't. Why do you think that they sell subframe connectors? If you do choose to stay ignorant of this subject then that's fine with me but look under a Challenger next time you see one and find the full-frame. Try to find the frame after the transmission mount.

I'm sorry I wasn't in too good of a mood. I don't quite understand what you mean by they were a unibody?? They had full frames as far as i know. Didn't think they started the whole unibody thing in V8's until the early 80's...

Well, I apologize for being so rude. That's odd. I guess i've just been told by people that don't know what they're talking about then that there's full-frames on the old muscle cars. What about the Chevelle???

No, like I said before your humble pie. Unibody construction took off in the 60s.

The Chevelle was a full-frame car but there haven't been many since, most notably the Viper and Corvette.
