Mopar to be sold?

I've read several articles recently about Chrysler considering the sale or closure of its MOPAR parts division! This would be a terrible mistake MOPAR embodies the entire culture of Dodge/Chrysler enthusiasts. The only good news is that the UAW is also against the sale of MOPAR - mostly due to the job impact.

If you are a MOPAR fan, we need to communicate our disapproval of this action! For the Chrysler employees that monitor this site, please send this feedback up the food chain.

When I first read this I had several icons going ; but let's put the 'Brembo's' on : just because the New Chrysler is doing this lifetime powertrain warranty doesn't even equate to selling off the Mopar Division.Their SRT program is a/the driving force behind additional performance parts needed from those special models; and which also spawns from the enthisiasm created from autoshows and ad/print/photo media coverage. Parts are going to be needed whether from normal wear and tear and/or accidentals /repair ! I mean dealerships' service departments cannot [ repeat Can't ] run/operate without MOPAR/parts ...can they ? ??
