Re: New Camaro Video

It looks a bit better than the clay mock-up pics that floated around a while back, but I agree... The Challenger is much better looking... this thing looks like something out of Battlestar Gallactica... And I STILL say that back-end is FUGLY!!

Re: New Camaro Video

The pony wars are in high gear. The Camaro is gorgeous, it will probably weigh in at 3500 lbs and the SS version will probably come with the Corvette's LS2. Put in an LS7, call it z/28 and go racing.

The Challenger is going to need the 6.4L.

No doubt the Challenger is a cleaner look. No crap. I don't care for the front end of the Camaro. But I have to confess I like the rest of the car's looks better than the Challenger. Can I buy one of each? I love them both. Maybe a Challenger R/T for a daily driver and a z/28 for the weekends?

Re: New Camaro Video

It's a little to ''Modern Retro'' for me.......The challenger looks like a 70s challenger, the camaro does not look like the 67-68-69 or whatever they were going after to me.

Re: New Camaro Video

I think the Camaro looks pretty good. Will tell more at the Detroit Auto Show but I think there will definitely be a crowd for this. We need to keep in mind that the younger generation didn't grow up with late 60s/early 70s muscle cars so they aren't necessarily looking for the same level of retro. That would be like the younger generation in the early 70s wanting a car that looks like the early 1940s....

Re: New Camaro Video

Very true.... With the modern-day 'ricer' (aka tuner) crowd, this may actually convert some of them into american-made v8 cars... It looks like something out of Fast & the Furious, which is what they all model themselves after... If these cars reach production the way the concepts look, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see a lot of the old school muscle heads driving Challengers, and a lot of 'young blood' driving the Camaro...
