Re: New to the site? Where did you hear about us?

Back in September 2006, I found this site using the "dogpile" search engine.

I also found the following Mopar sites (all worthwhile):

www.chargerforums.com

www.dodgechallenger.com

www.allpar.com

www.hemi-tech.com

Re: New to the site? Where did you hear about us?

Hi everyone, LOCOMOTION here and new to your site. Came over from the Charger Forum site. Why? Well because I've had lots of neat muscle cars thru my life and had to sell them for one reason or another. Boy was I DUMB !!!
Anyway I'm now in a position to buy what will be my final muscle car and it will be either a Dodge Challenger or a Dodge Charger with the awesome HEMI engine. So I'm very excited and anxiously waiting for Febuary announcement to see what the prices , options ,etc will be . Which car will fit me best and then I will plunk my $30 k to $35 K down at the dealer. Happy Challenger buying to all!!!! LOCOMOTION

HI LOCOMOTION...welcome to the site ! I suggestion...why not change your name for "HEMIMOTION" ! It would be more MOPAR specific...anyway you got a nice name !

Re: New to the site? Where did you hear about us?

Thanks NextChall, to be honest with you back in 1957 thru 1962 I raced a 1957 Dodge and a 1957 Plymouth at Hagerstown Maryland dragstrip when dragracing first started and both cars where named " LOCOMOTION" which I had painted on both front fenders with a graphic of a Locomotive with big slics and a big V/8 motor with flaming headers doing a burnout with flaming and smoking tires under that name. So I'm kind of loyal to that idea. But now I really want a HEMI powered dodge . Now that would give me some LOCOMOTION wouldn't you say? Thanks again for the idea tho! LOCOMOTION

Re: New to the site? Where did you hear about us?

I understand LOCOMOTION...nothing you can do against history. You earned your name and it is yours. I did some local dirt stock car racing in 1966-7 (and lots of street racing at night on deserted roads, which type of racing I do not recommend...not very wise! Racing should be on closed circuits only). I never had any car accident in all my life nor caused any (my name should be "lucky" !). I though I was one of the oldest...hum...hum wisest here...but by the year of your racing, you must be ... wiser than I . Again welcome here..to your mopar home .
